“Yuri, Joanne keeps asking me where you are. I don’t want to tell him he hurt you so badly. I don’t want him bothering you after you’ve died, Xavier said as he placed my favorite lilies in front of the grave before walking away.
I floated behind him, and just as he was about to leave, I wrapped my arms around him gently. He seemed to feel it and smiled, tilting his head.
I thought Joanne would never find this place, but on the third day after Xavier left, he showed up.
He didn’t say a word; he simply laid down a bouquet of lilies and brought my favorite stewed pork ribs.
I followed him, noticing how much thinner and taller he looked. But it didn’t matter–no matter how tall, short, fat, or thin he became.
I eventually stopped following him and drifted away. As I left, I heard him softly say, “Yuri, I won’t bother you again.”
A week later, Xavier Drought me devastating news.
Joanne had committed suicide by setting himself on fire, burning to death.
Chloe seized the opportunity to take his money, but as she tried to escape the country, she was hit by a truck.
Both of them were gone.
It felt surreal, but I couldn’t help but smile. I sensed that I was about to be reincarnated.
