Returning from my trip, I immediately met with a lawyer.
While waiting for them at the restaurant, Chloe suddenly appeared.
She tossed her designer bag on the table, her tone arrogant and mocking,
“Mrs. Zhang, you’ve finally stopped hiding?”
“Please keep your word and sign the divorce papers quickly. Stop clinging to Alexander!”
I looked at her calmly, with a faint smile.
Although I hadn’t been following her news.
I had heard that last week, while Alexander was busy appeasing the board of directors, she stood by as his assistant, fumbling and making quite a few mistakes.
Alexander, in a moment of impatience, told her to go home and stay put.
I imagine either he hasn’t gone to comfort her, or she hasn’t heard any progress on the divorce, so she’s getting a bit panicked.
I said softly: “Miss White, I’m not hiding, nor am I busy clinging to your Alexander…”
“Because I’ve been busy dealing with you.”
She froze, her expression immediately becoming guarded, “What do you mean? What did you do?!”
“Quite a lot, which one do you want to hear about?”
Seeing shock surge in her eyes, I explained unhurriedly.
“Ten minutes ago, I exposed your social media burner account.”
“By now, I estimate all your and your bestie’s little schemes have been laid bare for the whole internet to see.”
“Oh right, I heard the Davis family is already very displeased with your bestie after that incident last time?”
Chloe stared at me, dumbfounded, both angry and anxious:
“You’re crazy! I’ll sue you for invasion of privacy!”
“That’s perfect.” I said calmly, “I’m also preparing to sue, demanding you return all ill–gotten gains.”
“Including that very expensive $20,000 bracelet on your wrist.”
“Ha, you dare?!” Chloe’s face paled, struggling to steady her heaving chest and trembling voice, “Alexander won’t let you do this!”
“Hmm, since you mentioned him.”
“By the way, do you want me to kindly inform him about your fake pregnancy?”
She suddenly slammed the table and stood up, her whole body shaking, staring at me with terrified eyes, full of hatred and fear.
I smiled faintly, glancing behind her, and said softly:
“Or would you rather tell him yourself?”
