I turned back in surprise.
Only to see two bodyguards actually dragging the sobbing Chloe in front of me.
She knelt on the ground, crying miserably.
“Alexander, haven’t you been cruel enough to me…”
“How can you humiliate me like this… wuwuwu…
“Shut up!” Alexander silenced Chloe’s wailing with a harsh slap, pressing her down to kneel with him in front of me.
“Olivia, if you’re angry, whether it’s at her or at me, you can vent as much as you want…”
“As long as after you’ve vented, you’re still willing to give me a chance…”
Looking at Chloe’s uncontrollable sobbing.
Looking at the fragile pain in Alexander’s eyes.
My heart, surprisingly, didn’t stir at all.
I turned to leave.
Alexander chased after me, desperately holding me tight.
I struggled hard to break free, but he refused to let go until Mr. Sullivan came and knocked him to the ground with a punch.
I looked at the man shivering on the ground, reaching out his hand in a pitiful plea, and said coldly.
“You’d better show up on Saturday to sign the divorce agreement.”
“Otherwise, you’ll only make me despise you more!”
Alexander’s whole body trembled, his outstretched hand falling limply.
Mr. Sullivan loosened his tie and crouched down,
“The longer you drag this out, the more excuses I have to spend time with Mrs. Zhang.”
“Thank you for matchmaking us, Mr. Yan.”
The man on the ground instantly turned pale, his eyes full of despair.

On Saturday, Alexander showed up.
This seven–month long divorce tug–of–war finally came to an end.
In the final agreement, he gave me most of the stocks and assets.
I gladly accepted.
Coming out of the court, his figure was a bit unsteady.
Those lifeless eyes looked at me deeply, filled with pain.
His trembling lips opened and closed, but not a word came out.
I resolutely left with my parents‘ company.
A desperate gaze followed closely behind.
But I didn’t look back.
That night, news broke that Alexander had driven his car into the sea in a suicide attempt.
