Before I could reply, Kade, always vigilant, took the note from my hands and read it silently. His blue eyes glinted with controlled fury before he turned to me.
“He is welcome to come,” he said. smoothly. “Let him witness the strength of our bond.”
The confidence in his voice was unshakable, though I could sense his protective instincts rising.
On the day of the ceremony, the pack‘ s den was alive with celebration. Flame-
colored blossoms adorned the clearing, symbolizing passion and renewal, and wolves from neighboring territories gathered to witness the union of two powerful bloodlines.

teas, and quiet words of encouragement.
“Do not let thoughts of him cloud your mind,” he said gently, his tone reassuring.
“Today is for us and the future we will build together.”
The ceremony began at dusk, the moonlight casting an ethereal glow over the gathering. I emerged draped in ceremonial furs, my mother and father at my side as they led me toward the altar. The path was short, yet it felt as though it marked the end of a long journey–from heartache and betrayal to hope and love.
At the altar, Xander stood tall, his presence commanding yet tender. When our eyes met, his wolf bowed to mine in unspoken reverence. He knelt, offering a silver ring etched with the runes of our ancestors.
“Arden,” he said, his voice steady with emotion, “will you stand beside me, as my mate and my Luna?”
Tears welled in my eyes as I nodded,

placing my hand over his. “Yes, Kade. Always.”
The pack erupted into howls of joy as we exchanged rings and sealed our bond with a kiss. Our wolves howled in unison, a promise of unity and strength.
As the night deepened, the celebrations grew wilder. Yet even in the midst of the revelry, I couldn’t help but glance at the edges of the clearing. Xander, who had vowed to attend, was nowhere to be seen.
The moon slowly takes over the time…. silvery glow over the dark forest surrounding the Great Hall of the Shadowfang Pack. The feast had ended, and the celebratory howls had faded into silence. Inside the hall, all I heard is happiness despite the emptiness.
In the shadowed corner of the room, I was
shocked to see Xander knelt on the cold
stone floor. His wrists and ankles were

growls, his eyes blazing with fury.
Kade stepped in with a coldness in his face. His sharp blue eyes reflected the firelight as he crouched before Xander and pulled the gag free, the cloth dropping heavily to the floor.
Xander spat, his voice rough with anger. “Is this how the mighty Hux honors its guests?”
Kade‘ s lips curved into a faint, predatory smirk. “Forgive me, Xander of the Hallowspring Pack, if our hospitality falls short of your expectations. But you see, we‘ ve little patience for uninvited wolves who cross our borders.”
Xander glare shifted to me, his eyes softening with desperation. “Arden,” he called, his voice raw with emotion.
I met his gaze steadily, my heart hardened by the memory of his betrayal. “Thank

celebrated. My Alpha and I would be happy to attend.”
At the word *Alpha,* Kade‘ s expression warmed slightly, a quiet triumph flickering in his eyes.
“You planned this,” Xander hissed, his voice trembling with bitterness. “You wanted me here–to not just hurt me but to do this to me. You‘ re nothing but a cunning beast!”
Kade smirk widened, a hint of mockery in his tone. “A beast, yes. But cunning? Thank you for noticing.” He sighs. “Of course, you will be captured, Xander. You almost ruined the ceremony despite your claims that you just want to watch.”
Xander, unused to being outmaneuvered, could only glare in silence. The chains. binding him seemed heavier now, the weight of his defeat pressing him lower.

for you? I swore I’d win you back. But when I saw you walking toward him tonight, your face glowing with happiness, it was like swallowing shards of glass. I could hardly breathe.”
My heart ached, but I refused to let it show.
“Oh, I understand,” I replied evenly. “That’s exactly how I felt when I heard of your union with Cecilia.”
He gasped, “I’m sorry that I almost crossed my boundaries here… I promise to not do it again for your happiness.”
The light in Xander’s eyes dimmed. completely, and he slumped forward, his strength drained. Kade gambit had worked; Xander finally understood that this chapter of our lives was over.
As the guards dragged him away, I turned to Kade, who placed a steadying hand on my shoulder. “You‘ re free of him now,” he said softly, his voice carrying both authority and gentleness.

That night, under the gaze of the full moon, Kade and I were officially bound as mates. I became his Luna. The ancient ceremony, held deep in the forest, felt like the beginning of a new chapter–a life with the Alpha who had protected and cherished me.
