For the first time in her life, Laura turned ruthless for my sake. She bared her fangs, drove out every scheming member of her family and killed them without mercy.
Memories swirled in my mind like a kaleidoscope, scene after scene replayed one after another.
The woman who once loved me more than life itself was no longer the same person.
I collected myself as I approached the entrance of the base. My master had been waiting for me, for a long time.
When I saw my Master, I dropped my suitcase, hugged him and cried as a mixture of overwhelming sadness and excitement surged inside me.

Master‘ s concern was reasonable because he hadn’t forgotten how deeply I had once loved her, how I had made mistakes for her sake.
“The moment she let Jock move in and lied to me over and over again, I let her go,” I said firmly.
