Louis put down his bowl and chopsticks
unhappily.
“Why did you suddenly decide to get married? I said that it doesn’t matter if you don’t get married for the rest of your life. The Featherington Family will make sure you have enough food and clothing for the rest of your life.”
Louis frowned and stared at me, as if expecting me to change my mind.
But I kept smiling with my head down. “I just think that marrying him would be a good thing and I should start a new life.”
The meal ended unhappily.
When I left the old house, Louis left Sharon and chased after me.
“Serena! Why did you get married so
suddenly? Are you still angry about what happened last time?”

I stopped, turned around and smiled. “Brother, you misunderstood. Frank proposed to me nine times, which touched me eventually and turned out I like him and his countless effort very much.”
I chuckled and looked at Sharon who chased after him, “Just like you and Miss Sharon, loving people will always get together.”
I turned around and left after I said that.
Frank had been waiting at the door. When he saw me coming, he smiled and got out of the car to help me open the door. Even when I leaned over to get in the car, his hand was against the roof to prevent me from hitting my head.
“Let’s go.” Frank stepped on the accelerator and the car sped away.
I turned back slowly after walking a long way. I saw from the rearview mirror that Louis had been standing there without moving, frowning and his whole body was

condensed into a deep cold mist.

Louis later came to me several times, but I
refused for various reasons.
Sharon also deliberately showed off her diamond ring to me.
“Serena, forget about the previous things. I will marry Louis soon.”
I smiled and wished them a happy marriage.
Meanwhile my wedding date was approaching.
Once Frank accompanied me shopping, my shoelaces were untied and he hugged me.
“Little fool, don’t move.”
He squatted down to help me tie my
shoelaces and I kissed his face when I was emotional and was photographed by paparazzi.

who was dating and ran to scold me angrily.
“Serena, you are a respectful young lady! How can you be so intimate with a man on the street? Are you so shameless?”
His eyes were red and he seemed to be mad at me and he raised his hand and slapped me. I covered my face and laughed softly.
“Shame? Louis, after you rescued Sharon and left that night, my sense of shame was long gone.”
I lifted my collar, revealing those ugly scars, kisses and scabs.
I watched Louis’s face turn pale little by little. “What’s going on?”
Louis’s eyes were bloodshot and he stared at the scars and marks on my body in disbelief.
“How did these injuries come about? Didn’t the police arrive not long after that night and you were rescued?”

I sneered even more. “That day you rescued Miss Sharon and went to the hotel to help her detoxify. But my good brother, have you ever thought about how I should detoxify? You left me there alone and all that was left behind were those
unscrupulous men– Why do you think they wouldn’t touch me under such circumstances?”
When the police arrived, I was already in tatters after being tortured by them. How could a drugged girl who had no power to resist escape from the clutches of those beasts? I had been thinking about it for a long time since I was rescued, but I still couldn’t figure it out.
As Louis’s face became more and more ugly, I smiled. “And all this is thanks to you.”
Louis stretched out his hand tremblingly, trying to touch the scars on my body. He opened his mouth, but no sound came out. Just his eyes were red.

I declined all of them.
These days, I had been staying at home and packing up a lot of things, returning all the valuable gifts that Louis had given me over the years. Looking at the pile of gifts, Louis was stunned.

“Return the property to its original owner.”
I coughed lightly and spoke slowly.
“Louis, I’m getting married soon. After marriage, I will move to Gretchen’s house and live with Frank, so this villa will be empty. You can take it back.”
