Chapter 7
After the whole incident, Lily went home and declared she never wanted to go back to school.
She insisted on studying at home and preparing for the SATS by herself.
Mom and Dad couldn’t change her mind, so they hired several tutors to give her one–on–one lessons.
Meanwhile, I got a letter from Samuel.
“Good luck with the SAT! You’ll do just fine!”
From the way he worded it, it seemed like a polite rejection. He was probably telling me to focus on my studies and leave it at that.
I sighed in relief.
With Lily deciding to stay home and study, the weird school bullying storylines wouldn’t play out anymore.
But my mind was still on James. I couldn’t help but worry about what would happen in the future. Would that other event still take place?
The plot was forcing me to hurt people, and I knew I had to record evidence to protect myself.
