Dominic burst into my hospital room, horror written across his face. I was slowly sipping broth when he saw my haggard state and nished over. “Beyne, what happened? “Let’s end this.” Dominic stopped abruptly as if struck by lightning, “W–what?” “Heyna baby, I was busy with pack duties, please don’t say such things I’ll make it up to you.”
“How? by letting your lover Victoria push me again so I lose another pup? Or by ignoring my calls while I was bleeding out? His face went pale as he stared at me with bloodshot eyes. “Didn’t you already decide she would be your Luna, and it I ‘cooperate. I could be your mistress? Here’s your perfect chance. My pups were almost killed, so I understand we can’t safely exist in your presence: Refect our bond, and I’ll leave with my children.”
“No” Dominic gripped my shoulders in panic, shaking his head. “You are my Loma! I was temporarily confused; I’ll never reject you. Forgive me Reyna”
Just then, my mom retumed with the twins after their checkup. Dominic’s eyes lit up in disbelief. “Are they both boys?” He teared up as he approached the pups. “I always wanted a son as heir and then a daughter to spoil. I’ll reject Victoria and give you her pup too. Please forgive me, Reyna!”
I laughed hysterically as if it was the cruelest joke. “A daughter? A monster who planned to separate me from my newborns dares to dream of having something as precious as a daughter? Dominic, why don’t you honestly say you want to eliminate me and my pops cleanly so we won’t obstruct your new
family?”
“NO! How could you think that?” Dominic looked horrified by my words. “Reyna, please think of our pups. If you forgive me just this once, I swear I’ll be the perfect mate and father. Someday when we’re old, we’ll look back at this as just a rough patch we overcame together.”
I spoke slowly, “Dominic, I have enough evidence to prove your mistress almost killed me Videos, recordings that clearly show your true face.” “The pack knows of your betrayal, but they don’t yet know you planned to reject me as Luna and send me away from the pack, away from my pups.”
His sinug expression crumbled instantly. Desperately, he grabbed my hand again. “This is a misunderstanding Reyna; Victoria might be a mistake but she’d never try to kill you! I’m a horrible mate. I cheated, and I deserve whatever punishment cones! But our pups need their father. You can’t let them grow up without their Alpha father, Please give me another chance. I swear on the Moon Goddess I’ll change”
“And let you and your mistress threaten my pups again?” Dominic looked horrified when I treated him like an enemy to my children. He was searching for another excuse to continue his charade when I played a recording

The man who had looked at me with hope moments ago now crumbled under the weight of his misdeeds. Dominic fell to his knees as the reality that I was leaving hit him, and he wept. I decided to stay with my mother after being discharged from the hospital. Just as we arrived at her house, I was hit with an overwhelming scent. My heightened wolf senses detected death and warning. “Reyna, stay in the car, darling” My mother’s face went pale. “Mom, what’s wrong?” I stepped out with the twins held tightly against me. My blood ran cold when I saw a mutilated deer carcass on the front porch. The kill wasn’t natural – it bore the marks of claws and fangs used with deliberate cruelty, clearly a message from another wolt. While I might have dismissed it as a rogue attack, the savage way it was displayed was obviously meant to threaten my family.
Beside the rating corpse was a note pinned to the front door. I took a shaky breath, my body trembling with rage as tear for my newborn pups crept into my heart. Fighting the overwhelming stench that assaulted my sensitive nose, I moved my children away from the scene, calming them before calling Dominic. Finally, I’d fiind some peace. But that peace was shattered when a package arrived. “Victoria did this?
