Q3
Peter’s son worked as an accountant for Levi’s company, but now he was missing.
With Levi and his sole heir dead, the remaining shareholders and relatives wasted no time tearing the company’s assets apart. When the police showed up, they were met with sheer disdain.
These upper–crust types, entrenched in layers of tangled interests, weren’t about to cooperate. If they didn’t want to play along. they simply didn’t.
lead.
Peter’s son, known for his arrogance at work, wasn’t well–liked. Despite hours of interviews, the police didn’t get a single useful
The company’s surveillance footage showed him leaving during lunch break and heading to the underground parking lot.
Then, he vanished at a blind spot in the garage.
The case hit a deadlock
Peter was unraveling. He knew the longer someone stayed missing, the slimmer their chances of survival became.
Just like my daughter back then. She was missing for three full days before Peter finally sent people to look for her.
The investigation was handed over to a new officer: Alan Green, a seasoned detective with a sharp, no–nonsense demeanor.
“You want justice, don’t you?” Alan asked bluntly, his piercing gaze sweeping the room.

Even as a ghost, I felt a shiver run through me.
Marvin, however, remained calm, meeting Alan’s stare without a hint of fear. He nodded firmly.
“I’ll get the truth for my wife and daughter,” he thought.
Hearing his inner voice, I couldn’t help but think of the torment Marvin had endured over the past three years. A bitter ache
welled up inside me.
He had paid so much, and now, he was willing to pay with his life.
Alan didn’t waste time. “Can you guarantee Peter’s son’s safety?”
Marvin nodded again, unflinching.
Eventually, Marvin was taken to the detention center, awaiting further developments in the case.
“I wonder if Terra’s found Vinnie yet. Maybe they’ve reunited in heaven by now. I miss Terra so much, he murmured silently
My name was Terra Parker, and Vinnie was our daughter.
Marvin had been a university student when he founded his company, participating in innovation and entrepreneurship programs. His sharp mind and determination helped him build something from nothing.

At the time, Karen was his classmate. It was inevitable that Marvin would develop feelings for the beautiful yet haughty
The company’s modest success was impressive for a college student, and Marvin had high hopes
On the night of the school’s anniversary celebration, he worked up the courage to confess to Karen, who had just finished performing
But Marvin had no idea who she truly was
“I’m the daughter of the stock king. Why would I waste my time on someone like you?” Karen sneered.
“Even the violin I’m holding is worth more than your entire company. Stay out of my sight, loser!”
Karen, naturally, couldn’t be bothered with someone as ordinary as Marvin.
That night, Marvin realized Karen wasn’t the dream girl he had imagined.
So, he let go of his feelings and poured himself into his work.
That was when I joined his company. Together, we held meetings, tackled challenges, and watched as the business grew stronger.
Three years into our relationship, we got married.
By the time Vinnie was five, Marvin had become a household name in the industry, a true titan of the business world.
Karen, meanwhile, returned from her travels abroad and set her sights on Marvin, the man she had once dismissed.
“Now’s your chance to win my heart.”
Karen swirled her wine glass as she openly admired Marvin’s matured, chiseled physique.
But Marvin only raised his hand with a sweet smile. “Sorry, I’m married.”
Karen was unaccustomed to rejection and became furious. She hurled the glass at him, cutting his skin and leaving a trail of
blood.
“You dare reject me? I don’t care; get a divorce and marry me!” she demanded.
The spoiled princess threw a tantrum, ruining the entire banquet.
Most people assumed she was just being childish and that she’d move on to someone else soon enough.
But then she saw me and our daughter. That was when she truly lost her mind.
“This is the kind of trash you chose?” she spat venomously.
“My father is the empire of the stock market. Marry me, and you’ll gain far more than you have now.”
Her relentless pursuit of Marvin became a source of endless frustration for him.
I once teased him, saying even the best men couldn’t resist a persistent woman. Marvin, however, had been adamant. He promised he wouldn’t waver.
None of us could have predicted how far Karen would go. Her obsession actually drove her to kidnap my daughter.
