Chapter 29
Olivia’s POV
I hadn’t downed this much booze in years, and my stomach was empty
Even though Wendy helped me drink a few glasses later on, I still had quite a bit throughout the night
After dinner. I escorted them to the door.
As soon as I turned around. I felt a strong discomfort in my stomach. I tried my best to suppress it and said to Wendy, “I’m going to the bathroom.”
After saving so, I dashed to the bathroom and barely made it before I hurled everything up.
After that, I felt a lot better
Werewolves had a strong self–healing ability, which was not only evident in injuries but also in situations like this. I could quickly recover from physical discomfort.
I splashed some cold water on my face and sobered up
“You good?” I couldn’t help but check in with my wolf
“I’m not vibing with this booze. I prefer the red wine from the Red Moon Pack.” Elara responded in my mind.
I did go on the conversation with Elara. Instead, I grabbed a paper towel to dry my hands.

Chapter 29
That was when I spotted Marsh’s mom, Moira, walking in with Emily.
I overheard Emily telling Moira, “See? Olivia isn’t cut out to be a proper Luna. She just ditched the Dawn Pack and left Marsh hanging with all his pack problems. And now she is hooking up with Alpha Zander.”
Emily was as annoying as ever, and I snorted coldly.
My sound caught her attention; instead of feeling embarrassed, she sneered at me and said, “Wow! No wonder this bathroom smells so bad- there’s a tease in here!”
Hearing that made me chuckle, “Thanks for the compliment. I know I’m pretty.”
‘A tease is usually good–looking, right?‘
Emily clearly didn’t expect me to respond like this. She paused for a moment and said, “You are so shameless!”
Moira shot me a glance and tugged at Emily. “Watch your mouth.”
“Moira, look at her, isn’t she shameless?”
“Well, I do care about my reputation since I have such a pretty face,” I said, pausing for a moment. “But Miss Brown, I bet you don’t share the same feeling with me since you only have such an average face. But seriously, you should still have a sense of shame.”
At this point, my expression was less friendly. My tone was somewhat cold. “If I ever hear you talking nonsense about me again, you’ll definitely be sorry. Haven’t you learned your lesson that.night?”
The mention of that night made Emily go pale instantly.
Her voice wavered as she stammered, “I–I didn’t talk nonsense!”

I smirked slightly while tossing the used paper towel into the trash and sidestepped her in my heels as I left the restroom.
I didn’t expect to run into them at this small business dinner.
Why would Marsh bring his family for such a business occasion?
My thoughts were all over the place when suddenly–a tall figure approached me head–on.
When I realized who this person was, I instinctively frowned.
What were the odds? I ran into Moira and Emily in the bathroom, and as I walked out, I bumped into Marsh.
Was today a special day for the Dawn Pack?
But all of this had nothing to do with me anymore. I was no longer a member of the Dawn Pack.
I raised my hand, flicked my long hair, and strode forward at a steady pace in my high heels.
Marsh was clearly fuming from being ignored again.
His face went all stormy as he gritted out through clenched teeth, “Olivia!”
Hearing Marsh calling my name, I halted my steps and slightly turned my body to look back at him. “Alpha Marsh, what’s the matter?”
I looked at him, but I couldn’t feel a trace of love.
He was like a stranger to me.
He hesitated before saying, “Zander is wooing you because of me. You should keep that in mind.”

‘Keep that in mind?
‘He’s so ridiculous. How could Zander pursue me because of him?
‘Who does he think he is?‘
I laughed and said, “Well, thank you for your reminder. However…”
The smile on my face faded as I said coldly to him, “You broke our mating bond. Now it’s Emily who is by Moira’s side. We’re basically one step away from rejecting each other. What makes you think you can say that to me?”
After saying that, I walked away without looking back.
Wendy spotted me coming down the hallway and visibly relaxed before stepping forward and asking concernedly, “Ms. Johnson, do you still feel bad?”
I shook my head and asked, “Is the car here?”
“Yes, right at the entrance.”
I nodded without saying much. “Let’s go.”
‘Do I feel bad?
‘Well, a little.‘
Back at the apartment, I immediately filled the bathtub with water and then lay down in it.
Marsh’s remark had completely ruined what could’ve been an awesome day for me.
If Hannah hadn’t called, I wouldn’t have known how long I had to soak in the bathtub.

Hearing my phone ring, I snapped back to reality, got up, dried myself up, and put on my pajamas before going out.
Marsh was not worth my distress.
Grabbing that ringing phone, I saw it was Hannah calling. I switched it
onto speaker while making my way downstairs for some milk. “What’s up?”
“Olivia, tomorrow is Saturday. Wanna hang out with me?”
I chuckled, “Sure. Where do you wanna go?”
