Chapter 21
Olivia’s POV
I looked up and found that sure enough, Marsh and Beta Jeffrey were over there at the booth not far away.
Before I could respond, Hannah continued, “C’mon, just show that jerk Marsh that you’ve got rizz.”
I shook my head, feeling a bit helpless. “Mates should be loyal and trust each other. Tests and provocations like these are completely meaningless, especially since my bond with Marsh is nearly broken because of Emily.”
“So? What do you say?” Zander asked with a smile like he didn’t notice Hannah and me whispering.
I beamed, “Thanks, but no. I drove here.”
I didn’t drink alcohol tonight, so I didn’t need anyone to take me home.
After speaking, I headed over to the other side of the bar where some friends were hanging out, just to let them know I was heading back.
Zander, being the sensible type, didn’t press further.
Hannah trailed behind and wondered with a puzzled look, “Why not take Zander up on his offer? I know you don’t wanna be his girlfriend, but you could use him as a tool. Just stir things up a bit and upset Marsh.”
I shook my head. “That’s pointless. I’ll just take that he’s dead.”
If he was “dead“, then he no longer existed. So why would I force myself to do something against my will just to annoy Marsh?
Hannah paused for a moment before fully processing my words. Then she couldn’t help but praise, “You’re right! When you get tough, no one can be your match.”
I totally agreed with this statement. “True.”
She laughed. “This is the Olivia I know. To be honest, I was really worried that you would be in the doldrums because of Marsh. But now, it seems my concern is totally unnecessary.”
After saying goodbye to my friends, I grabbed Hannah’s arm and said, “Let’s go.”
The bar owner caught up with us and handed us a card, saying, “Olivia, Hannah, your presence tonight has honored my bar. This is an SVIP card. Come back anytime you want. You’re always welcome here.”
I took the card and smiled, “Can I get anything for free with this card?”
He chuckled, not angry at my teasing. “Fifty percent off.”
Hannah stomped her foot in disbelief. “What? Even SVIP guests still have. to pay?”
I beamed and said to the bar owner, “She was just joking. We gotta go. Bve.”
Just then, Beta Jeffrey and Marsh walked out of the bar.
Beta Jeffrey waved his hand and called out to me, “Luna Olivia!”
I shot him a bland look before replying nonchalantly, “Beta Jeffrey, mind your form of address, I’m not your Luna anymore.”
“I…” Jeffrey stammered, looking embarrassed.
Not planning on responding to him any further, I hopped into my car.
As for Marsh, who stood beside Beta Jeffrey, I didn’t glance his way at all.
Marsh’s POV
Olivia walked right past me without even glancing in my direction.
How dared she?!
That was straight–up disrespect for my authority as Alpha!
I acted calm, but inside my heart, a storm of anger was raging.
Before long, that blue car vanished from sight.
With a surprised look, Beta Jeffrey said to me, “How did I never notice Olivia is so cool?”
Hannah, who was just about to leave, turned around and glanced at him, commenting, “Because you’ve been blind.”
With that, she shot me a cold glare and spat out an exaggerated “Pfft.”
My wolf immediately roared in my mind.
For werewolves, that was pure provocation.
If we were in my pack, I’d have let my wolf take over right then and teach this she–wolf a lesson..
But unfortunately, we were at the entrance of a bar, surrounded by humans everywhere. I couldn’t expose my identity.
I had to clench my teeth, trying my best to keep my wolf under control.
Hannah then glanced at me with a sneer. “I can’t just treat you like you’re dead like Olivia does.”
“What did you say?” Beta Jeffrey scowled, his brow knitted.
Hannah shot him a fierce glare and said, “Forget it: I won’t waste my breath arguing with a fool.”
With that, she got into the car with her keys.
Beta Jeffrey tried to retort, but Hannah had already winded up her car
window.
He had no choice but to swallow his words and turned his head to me, asking. “Alpha, Olivia didn’t even spare you a glance earlier. How could she treat you like this? Should we go after her?”
I snorted coldly and said, “Get lost.”
Instead of leaving, he advised, “Alpha, the pack can’t be without its Luna forever.”
I simply ignored him and walked towards my own car.
I shouldn’t have agreed to come here with him.
“Alpha Marsh, long time no see.”
Before I could get into my car, Zander walked out of the bar. With a half- smile, he provocatively asked, “Got a question for you.”
I furrowed my brow at him.
He was the one who incited Olivia to leave me. He made my pack lose its Luna, turning my wolf weak.
If he weren’t Alpha of the Blackthorn Pack, I would’ve ripped his throat out by now.
Beta Jeffrey, perhaps sensing my rage, immediately stepped between us

and said, “Sorry, Alpha Marsh has something to attend to.”
Zander glanced over at Beta Jeffrey before asking me with a smile that stung my eyes, “Olivia’s been away from your pack for months. When are you gonna reject her?”
I looked him dead in the eye, snapping, “None of your business! And why are you paying so much attention to her anyway? Are you interested in her or just trying to swoop in on someone I’ve dumped?”
Beta Jeffrey nudged me and then pointed towards Olivia, who had unexpectedly returned without us noticing.
