Chapter 19
Olivia’s POV
le who
The burst in were Marsh and Jeffrey.
Emily immediately unleashed her strength and shoved me aside.
She then ran over to them, shouting, “Marsh! This bitch made me drink wolfsbane! She wanna have me raped!”
I stood in situ, watching as Emily lost control and screamed at Marsh.
She was a mess, clinging to Marsh’s arm and sobbing pitifully.
Her distraught state reminded me of a few months ago when she had dragged me down the stairs together and then cried, accusing me of pushing her.
Marsh glared at me with a look that could have burned a hole through me.
Jeffrey, standing aside, frowned and said, “Luna Olivia, you’re going too
far.”
I sneered inwardly.
Elara roared angrily again because I was disrespected.
But unlike last time, it was different.
I didn’t explain anything. Hannah beat me to it and said in anger, “Why don’t you ask Emily what she did? She set Olivia up first.”
I casually wiped the red wine off my hands and calmly said to Marsh, “You’re just in time.”
Then, with a scoff, I added, “Alpha Marsh, seems that you can’t keep your pack members in line. I did you a favor.”
I glanced at Hannah. “Let’s go get some late–night snacks.”
With that, I walked towards the door as if nothing had happened.
Of course, I deliberately ignored Marsh.
Just as I was about to step over the threshold, a firm grip seized my wrist.
I turned to face Marsh, whose expression was as cold as ice, his eyes radiating the undeniable aura of an Alpha.
“Apologize.” His voice was deep and commanding.
Every word he uttered was laced with the unmistakable weight of his status. He was trying to assert his dominance.
I tilted my head slightly and smiled provocatively.
“Alpha Marsh, are you sure you want me to apologize?”
I asked with a sneer, unaffected by his attempt to intimidate me.
Emily’s voice suddenly pierced through the air, her scream slicing through the tense atmosphere.
“I don’t want her apology! I want you to reject her right now!” Her voice was filled with anger and deep humiliation as if she had never felt so degraded.
I chuckled and turned to her. “That’s what I want, too. Convince Marsh to reject me.”
“Olivia!” Marsh’s roar echoed in my ears.
His Alpha aura was fully unfurled as he tried to suppress me and make me
submit.
But having been away from the Dawn Pack for three months, my connection with the pack had already weakened.
I let Elara unleash her power to confront his Alpha aura, making the air around us tremble.
Jeffrey couldn’t help but lower his head.
Emily’s face turned pale.
“Do you think I’m afraid of you, Marsh?” My voice was steady and resolute. “If you really want to stand up for Emily, then reject me.”
Once again, I brought up the topic he disliked.
A flicker of surprise flashed across Marsh’s eyes.
He seemed puzzled by how my strength could rival his.
Noticing Marsh’s hesitation, Emily stepped forward and said, “She just drugged me with wolfsbane. It’s against the Werewolf Convention!”
Marsh frowned slightly and said, “Go back to the Dawn Pack and bring the pack doctor.”
Emily, however, didn’t want to leave. She was defiant.
“I won’t go! She used wolfsbane on me and kidnapped me! I’m going to report this to the Council of Elders!”
“Sure. I’ll help you,” I replied with a smile.
I looked at her and added, “And they can also investigate who was behind it when I was taken away the other night.”
Emily’s legs buckled, and she clutched Marsh’s arm, almost collapsing.
Marsh reached out to support her, and she glanced back at me.
I met her gaze and said, “Emily, hold on a bit longer. We’ll go to the Council of Elders just as you wish.”
Fear flickered in her eyes.
She wasn’t that cautious. If anyone found out it was her, the Council of Elders would judge her harshly.
The underground dungeon of the Council of Elders was far colder and more intimidating than the Dawn Pack’s.
She was trembling all over as she turned to Marsh.
“Marsh, I feel so sick. I want to go to the hospital. I feel terrible…”
Marsh picked her up with a stern face.
Before leaving, he shot me a cold glance.
I met his gaze unwaveringly.
I wasn’t really worried because the wolfsbane I gave Emily was much more potent.
In a few moments, she wouldn’t be able to speak.
Already, she seemed disoriented, crying and tugging at her clothes.
Marsh didn’t linger.
He departed with Emily in his arms, followed by Jeffrey, who avoided eye contact with me and left with his head down.
This was the world of werewolves.
Hannah watched them go and said with a hint of regret, “We should have come earlier! If the drug had kicked in, we could have tossed her out! She wouldn’t dare be so arrogant again!”
I shared her regret but knew the drug’s effects would be severe. “Forget it. We’ll let her off this time.”
If there was a next time, I wouldn’t be so lenient.
I said to Hannah, “Let’s go grab some snacks.”
