Chapter 16
Olivia’s POV
I raised an eyebrow, holding that glass of red wine, and walked right up to Emily.
Then leaned in a bit and coldly shot her a look, scoffing, “Sorry, but I ain’t no pushover.”
With that. I lifted the glass of wine and tipped it right over her head.
Emily screeched in disbelief as the wine trickled down her long hair.
She looked like a hot mess, her gown stained red.
But I wasn’t about to stop there. Instead. I caught her wrist.
Just as she was about to fight back, Marsh suddenly grabbed my hand.
“Enough! Olivia!” he shouted.
“I don’t think so,” I scoffed, exerting force to snap Emily’s bracelet.
Then I threw a check right at her face, snorting. “Just a 100–thousand- dollar bracelet. Here’s two hundred grand. Go buy two if you want.”
With that, I returned to Hannah’s side.
Emily, finally snapped back to reality, started to curse me, and Marsh snapped.
“Do you wanna bring more shame on yourself?” –
“The earrings Olivia was wearing seem to be from the ‘Mermaid’s Tear‘
collection,” Someone in the crowd spoke up.
“You’re right. Her bracelet and earrings are from the same set. This collection is a limited edition, each set worth at least 3 million dollars.”
Hearing that, many guests cast their eyes on me.
Soon, someone else added, “The design of her dress is very much like Tomie’s style. It seems to be custom–made. I bet it’s worth at least 300 thousand.”
“This is getting interesting. The total value of Olivia’s outfit is no less than 5 million dollars, yet Emily accused Olivia of stealing her bracelet?” The crowd buzzed with discussion. Emily gritted her teeth, glaring at me.
The Dawn Pack had always been prestigious in Los Angeles, and Emily, who came on behalf of the pack with Marsh, just made a total fool of herself.
I watched her run off in tears, sneering.
I stepped out of the banquet hall and called the driver while heading toward the restroom.
After fixing my makeup, I came out and felt a bit dazed as I thought about what had just happened.
“What’s on your mind? Don’t tell me you regret dousing Emily with wine,” Hannah piped up, noticing I was zoning out.
“No, I just regret giving her money,” I replied, snapping back to reality. “I’m not short on cash, but money doesn’t grow on trees. I earn it through my hard work. Giving it to her is just a waste.”
As we talked, a cold male voice came out of nowhere. “You’ll have your money back, but you do owe. Emily an apology,” Marsh said, handing

over my check.
I took the check and put it away, giving him a slight smile. “Thanks, but I’m not gonna apologize. I know her. She will seek revenge, and I’m ready for it.”
“You’re unbelievable!” Marsh snapped, turning back to the banquet hall in
a huff.
Although the banquet was over, word of what happened spread like wildfire.
I had no idea Emily had posted some fake stories about me online until the next day when Hannah called me.
Listening to her words, I couldn’t help but laugh.
As I hung up the phone and continued to work, someone knocked on the office door.
“Come in,” I said.
Wendy stepped inside with some files. “Just now, Mr. Bell’s secretary said that he couldn’t make it to dinner with Polka Company tonight. You need to go in his place.”
“Who will attend on behalf of Polka Company?” I asked.
“Willson.”
“Alright, got it.“I waved my hand.
Wonder Company had been cooperating with Polka Company for a long time, but the contract was about to expire.
So Polka Company hoped to talk about the renewal tonight.
Morgan had been getting along well with Willson. How come he asked me to attend the dinner?
There was definitely something fishy with this.
In the evening, Wendy and I arrived at the appointed restaurant.
Surprisingly, Willson didn’t make things difficult for me. Even though the contract renewal wasn’t settled, he kindly had his secretary drive me back after dinner.
I had quite a bit of red wine tonight, so I felt a bit dizzy in the car.
When the car suddenly stopped, I couldn’t help but frown.
“Sorry, the car might have broken down.” Willson’s secretary said, hopping out to check it and call for help.
Wendy glanced at me, looking a bit worried.
I smiled faintly, “Don’t worry. He wouldn’t dare to harm me.”
But right after I said that, I heard a loud revving engine in the distance. When I got out of the car, I saw three or four motorcycles coming from behind.
One of them stopped right in front of me. “Hey, gorgeous. need any help?” said the man.
He was wearing baggy jeans and a hoodie, his exposed skin covered in
tattoos.
All of the motorcycles sported the same logo.
They should be from some MC club.
“We’re good, thanks,” Wendy said as she stepped in front of me, giving

the guy a cold stare.
“I wasn’t talking to you!” The man’s expression became fierce all of a sudden.
At that time, Willson’s secretary hung up the phone and walked over, shouting loudly, “What are you doing?”
The leading man got off the motorcycle and walked up to me, saying, “Hottie, how about we grab some snacks together? Otherwise, I’m not sure if your friend can survive the cold night in this desolate place.”
This fool dared to threaten me.
Seemed that he didn’t know that I was a werewolf.
When I got out of the car just now, I noticed this road was pretty secluded. Presumably, Willson’s secretary drove here on purpose.
Looking at the people in front of me, Wendy and I showed no fear.
If we shifted, they’d be toast in a heartbeat.
But dealing with the aftermath would be tricky.
Curious about what they wanted, I shot Wendy a glance.
“Sure, I’d love to!” I chuckled lightly and hopped onto one of the motorcycles.
