Chapter 11
Olivia’s POV
The phone on the other end remained unanswered, which inevitably stirred a hint of irritation within me.
I decided not to wait any longer and set off for the hotel where Zander was staying.
I hoped to meet with him directly to discuss matters concerning the Los Angeles project.
Stepping out of the elevator, I just happened to see Emily running from the other end of the corridor.
Her face was filled with panic, and it was clear she hadn’t noticed my presence.
Why was Emily here?
What had happened to her?
My mind was brimming with questions, but instead of calling out to her, I continued towards Zander’s room.
I was surprised to find the door to his room ajar.
When I pushed open the door and walked into the room, I saw a familiar figure, Marsh
Why was he here?
And with Emily having just rushed out, could something have occurred

between them?
As I hesitated whether to ask, Zander noticed me..
He smiled, “Luna Olivia.”
Marsh immediately turned to look at me.
He looked somewhat embarrassed and then just walked out.
“Marsh,” I called out to him, “I plan to participate in Alpha Zander’s Los Angeles project.”
Marsh stopped in his tracks and turned to face me, his brows furrowed.
“I don’t think it’s a good idea. You should know it involves complex relationships between packs.”
I looked at him resolutely and said, “I know it won’t be easy, but I have made up my mind.”
At that moment, Zander’s voice rang with a hint of a sneer. “Alpha Marsh, you don’t seem to have the right to refuse anything on her behalf.”
Marsh’s expression became ugly as he turned to Zander. “What do you mean by that?”
Zander stood up and walked over to us, his gaze sharp.
He said, “You should know, if I want, I could say what Emily just did is disrespect towards the Blackthorn Pack. As her Alpha, you should be held accountable, right?”
Marsh was left speechless.
What had just happened between them?
I looked on in surprise at the scene before me.
Then, one of Zander’s subordinates knocked on the door, holding a bouquet of roses.
Zander took the bouquet and presented it to me.
“I hope you can accept these flowers as the beginning of our cooperation. Tonight, I’d like to invite you to dinner, where we can discuss the Los Angeles project in detail.”
I took the roses, feeling their fragrance and Zander’s sincerity. “Thank you. I’m looking forward to tonight’s dinner and our discussion.”
“Alpha Marsh.” Zander turned to look at Marsh with a smile. “I have a question I’d really like to ask you.”
“I’m not one to answer everyone’s questions,” Marsh said with a stern face.
“What I want to ask is, you seem to have always had a keen eye for business, but why are you such a fool when it comes to women?” Zander looked at him with a smile.
“Speak for yourself, Zander. I don’t know what you see in Olivia.”
Hearing Marsh’s words, I widened my eyes in surprise.
“What the hell are you talking about?” I managed to say, holding back the
tears in my eyes.
“You really are a jerk,” Zander said to Marsh with a cold face.
Marsh glanced at me, turned around angrily, and left.
“Are you alright?” Zander looked at me, his eyes flickering with concern.
I took a deep breath to pull myself together. Then, I forced a smile. “We can leave as soon as possible.”
“Are you ready? I’m hosting a farewell dinner tonight and we can set off first thing tomorrow morning.”
“Okay.”
Since the Blackthorn Pack was not in Los Angeles, I needed to drive there. Therefore, I went back to the pack and told Beta Jeffrey that I planned to requisition a car.
But he refused me. “You need a car? Alpha Marsh said Emily might need a car at any time recently. The pack doesn’t have any other cars available. to requisition.”
I looked at him coldly and said, “Fine! Then I’ll just buy one.”
After that, I turned around and called Hannah.
Hannah and I went to the auto mall. I had already picked out the model I wanted, and today I just came to test drive it before the payment.
“I’ll take this one.” I nodded to the salesman, who immediately went to prepare the documents.
Hannah and I had just sat down in the waiting area when Emily’s best friend, Lia Rowse, came over.
“Luna Olivia, are you and your friend here to buy a car?” Lia greeted me with a seemingly kind tone.
I answered her question with a simple nod and then just looked away. Lia and Emily were the same kind, so I didn’t want any chit–chat with her.
“Fancy that. I’m here to buy a car too. Which car you choose?”
Cupter it
At that moment, the salesman who had finished the procedures came over and answered for me, “This lady has ordered a BMW 7 Series.”
Lia looked at me and asked, “How much is this car?”
The salesman replied, “20 grand. If you like it, I can take you for a test. drive later.”
As soon as the salesman finished speaking, Lia snickered, “Only 20 grand? Come on, how can a decent lady like me buy such a cheap car?”
There were many people at the auto mall today, and Lia didn’t realize that her words had offended many of them, while the salesman stood there quite embarrassed.
She continued, “I didn’t expect you to be so down and out now, can’t even afford a car that costs 200 grand?”
Hannah got angry and was about to retort, but I stopped her.
I took the keys and said to the salesman, “How much is the most expensive car you have here?”
“Armored Rolls–Royce, priced at 200 grand. Ma’am, you mean?”
“Good. I think that’s exactly what Ms. Rowse needs. Remember to introduce the car to her. After all, she only pays for a car at least worth 200 grand.”
After I finished speaking, I picked up my bag and prepared to leave. The salesman looked very excited and said to Lia, “Ms. Rowse, would you like to see the car? There’s a discount for full payment.”
Lia’s face went an ugly green.
