Caroline was enraged to the point where she would find plates and vases to be smashed all night at the party, which caused her to be blacklisted by the event organizer. That was never my concern, though. After all, I had more important things to deal with.
When I came home from the party at night, I quickly took care of my swollen ankles. I was so focused on taking care of my ankles. before I realized that there was a figure with broad shoulders who hugged me gently. It was my husband, Adrian Dupont.
The man smiled as he said, “I just missed a party without you, but how could you end up like this? All of them told me that I supported you, sweetheart. But what dangerous games are you playing?”
I just turned to see my husband, throwing my body into his arms and letting out a playful smirk.

“It’s fine. I know what I’m doing.
Don’t worry about it,” I told him, trying to reassure him.
My husband just touched my hair gently.
After that, he said, “Well, you‘ re free to do whatever you want to do. But you don’t need to hurt yourself, you know that?”
Once again, I threw myself into his arms. before I found a comfortable position to lie down. I couldn’t help but think of the past. After all, Caroline would try to play victim to get both Anthony and Matthew‘ attention.

However, I was different than her. I refused to bow to both young men just to win their sympathy. Ever since I got back to Belgravia, I already knew what they liked.
The summertime was the liveliest time in London’s upper–class society. Each family competed to get the top spot at the
equestrian competition that was held close to London. I arrived with Adrian to sit on

From the moment we sat down, both Anthony and Matthew next to me kept looking at me. When I unintentionally looked in their direction, I quickly looked away. After that, Adrian introduced the horses on the field to me. I nodded as he did this, but I couldn’t help but look a bit lost.
When we had a break, I got up from my seat to take a walk to freshen up my mind. But my silk scarf flew away when I didn‘ t notice, only to end up before Anthony. The man quickly picked it up and followed me.
“Elizabeth, so it’s you,” he muttered.
However, I quickly turned away as I focused myself to look at the horses that were running in the distance. It made the man unable to see me properly as he could only see the back of my head.
Nevertheless, I knew that he approached me to get my silk scarf.

Immediately, the man bombarded me with lots of questions, “I know that you were forced by Adrian, right? How did you get into the entertainment industry? Do you need my help?”
When I thought about it, it seemed that Anthony became more eager for me to reveal that I was Elizabeth the more I refused to tell him. As I tried to take the silk scarf from him, the man saw my hand. He seemed to be stunned.
It was clear that Anthony thought that I was a young woman who never experienced true love, which was different than my past self. It managed to make him uncertain, though. But it was really nerve- wracking as my true self could be revealed.
“Elizabeth?”
Unsurprisingly, Caroline turned out to follow me as I hesitated whether to get the scarf from Anthony. But I quickly grabbed it. Just when I was about to pass her by, the young woman gritted her teeth in anger.

Then, she made a rather tempting challenge.
The woman arrogantly asked me, “Miss Lizzy, do you know how to ride horses and join the race? Let’s make a bet then. If you win, I’ll give you a mansion somewhere in Belgravia under my name. If you lose, you can sleep with my friends?”
I turned back to meet her smug face before I calmly nodded, accepting her challenge.
Caroline seemed to be a bit shocked when both she and I were getting ready to ride the horses. After that, the woman then approached me. She whispered, “If both of us fall from our horses at the same time, who do you think both Anthony and Matthew save, Elizabeth?”
