Chapter 11
When Matthew arrived outside of the Dupont Family’s mansion, it was raining hard outside the window. Still, I chose to go out to meet him. After all, I already experienced it myself.
“My family went bankrupt because of that damn Anthony. Can you help me,
Elizabeth? Adrian will do it if you agree,” Matthew begged me.
Meanwhile, I was standing on the stairs as I looked at the heavy rain. It felt like I was in the past. That made me couldn’t help but do some bit of acting. I started to look at Matthew as tears fell from my eyes.
“You know, I’m also a snitch, Matthew. So, I can’t speak to him at all to protect you,” I told him.
As soon as I said that. Matthew left me albeit reluctantly.
When Adrian saw it, he couldn’t help but

pinch my nose.
“Goodness, how can my wife, the young Mrs. Dupont, who is betrothed to me,
become a snitch like this?” my husband
asked me jokingly.

Both Adrian and I went to Anthony‘ s wedding.
I could see that Caroline was sitting in a wheelchair as she was still recovering throughout the wedding ceremony. The vile young woman let her mother push her wheelchair. As for Anthony, the man had never even smiled. In fact, he didn’t even say I do with the microphone provided for him.
Although Caroline wasn’t fully satisfied, the woman still thought she had won when she looked at me. In fact, she kept giving me a smug look. Frankly, I already knew that she wanted to push me down when she fell. However, the woman changed her

mind when she saw Anthony reaching out.
Caroline ended up falling down by herself. The woman risked herself despite the terrible risk that could happen to her just to enter the upper–class society. In a way, she was successful in her crazy attempt to secure a spot to enter the upper–class society, though.
However, there was one thing. While Caroline thought that she was successful, she had no idea that there was a CCTV that was set on the second–floor balcony of my mansion. After the incident happened, I immediately gave the CCTV recording to Anthony. So, Anthony would know the real truth.
From what I understood from Anthony‘ st reaction at the time, their marriage was nothing but the start of revenge. Ever since the ceremony started until it finished, the man looked very grim. Only when Anthony toasted with me, did he let out a subtle
smile.

“Elizabeth, you‘ re here. I’m so sorry for not being able to marry you, dear,” he
said sadly.
Anthony didn’t care about my husband‘ s reaction at all. Instead, the former only cared about expressing his love for me. However, I just gave him gits in my hands as I politely smiled. I also pretended to feel bad about his marriage before I left the party.
When both Adrian and I left the wedding party, the man held my waist jealously as he asked me, “Why didn’t you tell him that everything you did was your revenge? That would give him the last blow.”
I couldn’t help but look at Adrian as I put my arms around his neck.
“Well, it’s because the most perfect revenge was to let him spend the rest of his life in regret. He’ll regret not marrying. me until he dies,” I answered my
husband.

The moment Adrian heard it, he quickly rubbed his arm as he said, “Sure, no one should ever hurt someone like you. But I must agree that revenge is a dish best. served cold. You know it best.
