He took a few steps forward, only to recognize her as he got closer.
“Evelyn, what are you doing here?
“What did you do to the ashes?”
When he saw her clearly, his eyes widened in shock.
He froze for a moment before crouching down, dipping his fingers into the ashes and sniffing them
His face turned pale, and he glared at her with fury.
He shoved Evelyn to the ground.
<
Evelyn hadn’t expected us to come early for the memorial.
Terrified, she was at a loss for what to do.
The push caused her palm to scrape against a stone, and the sharp pain triggered the pent–up rage and frustration inside her.
She decided to throw all caution to the wind and sat down on the ground, screaming in agony.
“How could you say that? Antonio, Julia is dead, and this woman is still alive. Why? Why should she be the one to live well?
“I’ll make trouble! Julia’s dead, and I won’t let Amy rest in peace either!”
With that, she grabbed a shovel and started hitting the urn.
Antonio stormed over and kicked her away.
He grabbed her by the hair, slamming her face against the tombstone.
He roared, “You’re insane! Look carefully, this is Julia’s tombstone!”
“What? How could this be?”
Evelyn stopped her tantrum in disbelief.
She stared at the tombstone with Julia’s name on it, her expression momentarily blank.
“The fortune–teller said this spot was good, so I switched Julia and Amy’s graves.”
Antonio shot me a guilty glance.
He lowered his voice and explained to her.
The evening breeze carried his words into my ears.
I pretended not to hear, biting my lip and looking up, pushing the tears back from my eyes.
I actually knew that Antonio was a firm believer in fate.
I had already used the money to bribe the fortune teller, making him deliberately say that to Antonio.
Although it was part of my plan, I still felt sorry for my daughter when he actually went through with it.
“Ah, Julia, I didn’t mean it, I’m sorry.”
Evelyn collapsed onto the ground, her eyes vacant, breaking down into sobs and cries.
Her wailing soon caught the attention of the grave keepers.
They rushed over and immediately called the police.
Chapter 10
The police arrived, and Evelyn was still clutching Julia’s ashes, her expression dazed.
She muttered continuously.
“Good girl, Julia, I am here.”
“Mr. Carlson, what do you think?”
After understanding the situation, the police officers exchanged awkward glances with Antonio.
Antonio looked at the mess on the ground, deeply disappointed in Evelyn.

After a moment of thought, he decisively said, “She’s lost her mind. Take her to a mental hospital,”
I hadn’t said a word the entire time.
I had set up this grand trap, and now it was time to close it.
After paying respects to Amy, we returned home as the day began to brighten.
Antonio had been busy all night and planned to go home and get some rest.
However, as soon as he reached the neighborhood, he was forcibly taken away by the staff of the mental hospital.
“What are you doing? I’m not crazy! Let me go!”
He screamed in terror, struggling.
The medical staff simply injected him with a sedative and bound him to a stretcher with thick ropes.
They placed the consent form I had signed in front of him.
“See? With the family’s signature, you’ll be coming with us for treatment.”
Antonio turned to look back in despair and fear.
The next moment, he went wild, struggling to break free from the ropes and charge at us.
“Miria, why are you doing this to me?”
