Chapter 10
“You can’t lose me? No, what you can’t lose
is
my wallet! You can’t lose someone who works like a slave to you, constantly giving
you what you want and making you money!” I snarled.
“No, it’s not like that! I really love you and can’t bear to lose you…” Henry nervously explained.
“Shut up! You’re disgusting! If you keep bothering me, don’t blame me for sending those photos of you and Mallory in bed to your whole company!”
Henry’s face went pale with shock. “You took photos? When did you take those?”
“Ah, so now you’re defensive? Didn’t you say you two were just talking and fell asleep? Well, let’s see how you explain that to your colleagues and your boss. Let’s see if they believe you.” I snickered.
“Delete those photos, do you hear me?!” He

growled.
“I’ll delete the photos, but only if you sign the divorce papers.” I grinned.
Henry, clutched his head in agony. “Camille, is there really no way we can fix
this?”
I shook my head. “No.”
Seeing I wouldn’t budge, he reluctantly signed the divorce papers.
On the day we went to the civil affairs bureau to finalize our divorce, Mallory
showed up too.
“Henry, are you planning to finish getting your divorce certificate with me, and then go straight to marry her?” I couldn’t help but asked.
Mallory cozily linked her arm with his. “Of course, once Henry gets rid of you, he’s going to marry me.”
She patted her belly. “I’m already pregnant with Henry‘ s child. We‘ re

going to be a happy family of three very
soon.”
I couldn’t help but laugh. “We’ve been married for five years, and we couldn’t have a child. I went to the hospital for a check–up, and everything was fine. You refused to go, but now Mallory is pregnant so quickly–impressive.”
Mallory screamed in fury. “What are you implying? The baby in my belly is definitely Henry’s!”
“Yes, it’s his. Why are you yelling?” I
chuckled.

certificate, he immediately took Mallory to get their marriage certificate.
When they came out and saw me, Mallory
asked, “Why aren’t you leaving?”
“I’m waiting for you two to go home together,” I replied.
“What do you mean, ‘go home together‘ ?

Don’t think you‘ re still Henry’s wife. You‘ re just his ex–wife now. That’s our home!” Mallory screeched.
“Looks like you don’t know. The house Henry is living in right now is mine. Two months ago, I told them to move out. But they decided to stay, refusing to leave. So I had no choice but to bring people to throw them out.”
Mallory froze. “Henry, is that true?”
“Camille, why do you have to do this?
You‘ re not short on money, so what’s the harm in letting us stay in the house?”
Henry almost shouted, probably because of embarrassment.
“Look how shameless you are. You‘ re remarried, and yet you‘ re still living in your ex–wife’s house. Do you have no pride?” I scoffed.
I brought people to throw everything out of the house. My mother–in–law was crying and wailing, while my father–in–law and

sister–in–law were shouting curses.
Mallory even called the police.
When the police arrived, she immediately burst into tears. “Officer, this woman is using her money and power to forcibly take our house!”
I showed the police the property deed. “Officer, this house was my premarital asset. Henry and I are divorced now, but his family refuses to leave.”
After understanding the situation, the police reprimanded the Baker family for their shameless behavior.
Then I took out a loan agreement. “Henry, let’s settle this in front of the police. The five hundred dollars I gave to your family to pay off your debts was a loan. You promised to pay it back within five years. Well, that time is up, so pay up now!”
