Chapter 8
When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the familiar sofa where I had once lay reading novels. My phone lit up with a message fro friend.

[Don’t forget to come over for late–night snacks and gaming tonight.]
I was back in the carefree days of my youth, back to where it all began.
Yolanda and Chris seemed like a dream I’d had, something I’d imagined while drifting off to sleep, like a plot from a novel.
Four years after returning to the real world, I was finally able to live in the place I had always dreamed of. The lessons, experiences, and insights I gained from that surreal adventure had become the fuel driving me forward.
With newfound courage, I used my unique perspective and rich experiences to start a new chapter in my life by founding my first company.
Starting a company wasn’t easy. Every step was filled with challenges and uncertainty.
But it was those hardships that gave me the strength and determination to keep going. Despite the difficulties, I eventually got the company on track.
During this journey, I met the most important person in my life, my future wife, Kathleen Haynes.
Kathleen was an intelligent and elegant woman. Her presence was like a warm ray of sunlight, brightening up what was once a rather dull life.
During the hardest times for the company, she stayed by my side. With her wisdom and tenderness, she gave me endless encouragement and support.
We faced challenges together and shared the joy of success. Gradually, she became not just my closest friend but also the love of my life.
On our fifth anniversary of knowing each other, we decided to take the step into marriage.
To celebrate this special moment, we planned a romantic honeymoon.
Our destination was a city known for its breathtaking auroras, a place that symbolized our shared dreams and hopes.
One starry night, we stood together in the vast open field, gazing up at the shimmering aurora dancing in the sky. It was as if mystical spirits were carrying our wishes into the distant universe.
Under the witness of the aurora, we made vows to each other that would last for eternity. At that moment, it felt like the whole world stood still for us.
After marriage, life was peaceful and happy. We balanced our careers and family and were blessed with the joy of a lively, adorable son.
He inherited our best qualities, smart and lively, and became the joy of our lives.
Every evening, as the sun set, we would take our son for a walk through the streets, cherishing these rare moments of quiet and warmth.
Years later, while walking down a familiar street, a frantic woman suddenly appeared from the side.
She was ragged, with a dazed look in her eyes, muttering that her husband was missing, that she didn’t belong to this world, and that she had come here to find him.
My first reaction was to protect my family.
I quickly shielded my wife and son behind me and calmly observed the situation.
To avoid any unnecessary trouble, I called for nearby security and asked them to take the woman from the scene.
With their help, the woman was safely escorted away, and we were able to continue our walk.
I didn’t care who she was. It was all in the past.
As for me, I would move forward, carrying a sense of curiosity and respect for the unknown, continuing to write a wonderful life with my family.
The End
