I prepared for not being accepted to work in the pack. However, I was shocked when Alpha Julius conversed with me and grinned as he said, “You have such potential, yet it has not been tapped into!
You’ve passed the interview for becoming our pack’s warrior! But you can also be our financial secretary if you want because you’ve passed its interview too.”
I had potential? I was a bit surprised by his comment. Over the years that I’ve been with Blake, he has never said such good things to me. He only cursed at me and showed me how unimportant I was, tearing down my self–esteem.
I never thought that another person would think I had such a good quality when I was just an average she–wolf.

I was pulled back to my past when I was training and a ghost from my past suddenly reappeared.
Seeing Blake at the pack training center left me with unanswered questions. How did he know where I was?
He looked rough – his white shirt was crumbled like he didn’t have time to iron it
and his hair was disheveled along with his now full beard.
His voice was gruff as he asked, “Amber, what’s your reason for leaving me? Don’t you know that I’ve tried so hard to become Alpha?
And don’t you know that it was all for you and for us to have a promising future together. Why did you tear everything apart? Why did you break me?”

He jumped to defend himself, “Amber, you’ve got to believe me. There’s nothing going on between Hailey and I. She is just my friend and coworker. My heart belongs to you and you alone. I wasn’t planning on breaking up with you to be with her.”
It was now perfectly clear. He wanted us both.
He wanted a respectable she–wolf that he could call his Luna mate and then a sexy she–wolf on the side to fulfill his fantasies.
He was so self–centered that he only cared about his needs.

A frown fell on my brows as I said,
“What’s your reason for saying this, Blake? We’re not together anymore since I’ve already rejected you. I’ve left your mates bracelet back at your pack house, untouched. I don‘ t give a crap about who you’re in love with, it just doesn’t matter to me anymore!”
I tried walking away, but Blake stepped in from me, holding his hands up in front of me, “Don’t be so cold, Amber. We spent
