Blake put the fault of every bad thing on me. His downfall from his Alpha rank was also my fault according to him, and so was our relationship falling apart.
I shook my head, “Yes, I’ve messed up before and that was when I agreed to be your mate!”
“Don’t say that, Amber. You don’t mean it.” He muttered as he stepped closer to

I stepped back as I glared at him.
I realized that he wasn’t going to stop unless I took drastic actions, so I said,

He pulled his phone out from his pants pocket and played a recording.
My father’s voice came through the phone and he sounded remorseful as he pleaded with me, “I was wrong, Amber. I’m deeply sorry for how I’ve treated you. I acted too stern while raising you. However, it was for the best.
Your fights with Blake are normal – mates fight all the time. However, when that happens, you forgive and move on
together. Blake has repented and so have I. We swear we won’t be harsh on you ever again.”
My father’s voice sounded hoarse like he was choked up with emotions and Blake also looked that way as tears welled up in his eyes, but he didn’t let them fall. Instead, he blinked them back.
He stared at me as he confessed,
