Chapter 27
“Eleanor, I am the President of Heavens Arts Entertainment, and the decision–making power lies with me, not you.” Percival shot Eleanor a frustrated glare. “Why do you insist on pursing Celeste’s endorsement?”
“Can an endorsement just be taken? The folks at HF demanded a change. I just wanted to help you secure the contract–who knows if this endorsement might slip away? Honestly, I didn’t believe the rumors about you and Celeste, but now it seems you’re willing to sacrifice your interests just to protect her endorsement. Doesn’t that suggest there’s something more between you two…?”
“Of course not! What are you even thinking?” Percival quickly countered. “I believe that since we’re getting married soon, you should focus on taking care of our home and family.”
Then you go explain that to Mr. Eugene at HF, Eleanor shot back, releasing her grip on the phone, disappointment flickering in her eyes. “And what do you mean by me Taking Celeste’s endorsement? Wasn’t I the one who passed it over to her? To help her out, I’ve offended everyone I could. yet in the end, they don’t even remember your
indness…”
Eleanor, you pulled out back then, which is why they decided to replace the model. What do you mean by “letting? Celeste interjected, determined not to back down. She oathed when someone suggested that she took Eleanor’s place. “And given your current strength and fame, do you really think you can make anyone believe I’d relinquish this? Who would buy that?”
Fine,” Eleanor said, her tone ley, “If you can persuade Mr. Eugene to change his mind, I’ll step aside from the endorsement. No arguments.”
Percival felt torn between the two women, acutely aware that Eleanor was still upset. If not, she would never defy his wishes. Since HF did indeed request Eleanor, he finally Interjected, “Both of you stop arguing. Since it’s HF requirement, we have no choice but to comply. Let’s have the endorsement go to Eleanor.”
Mr. Percival…” Celeste exclaimed, anger flaring.
That’s the decision. You both go back first, Eleanor, let Seraphina come in,” Percival commanded coldly. Clearly, he despised the idea of being eclipsed by Eleanor, despite he unavoidable shift in the model.
Dunning as ever, Eleanor quickly grasped Percival’s unspoken meanings. Still, she thought it wise to tread lightly concerning his feelings–old habits die hard.

Celeste followed Eleanor closely, her rage nearly radiating from her face, barely masked. Thankfully, Eleanor, despite her intent to return to modeling still was not very sopular and would be easy prey for a has been model. Tamning to her assistant, she said, “Later, take some photos of me working hard to make a comeback and post them nline, stoking fans to accuse Eleanor of stealing my endorsement. If I can’t have it, she shouldn’t either.”
Don’t worry, I know what to do,” the assistant replied, processing the plan.
fter Eleanor returned to the lounge, she shot a reassuring wink at Seraphina, “Don’t be nervous.”
Nervous? What on Earth are you joking about? Who do you think I am? Seraphina rolled her eyes, unimpressed. “I’m not new to this. If Percival wants to play games, it on’t be that easy. Just watch… With that, Seraphina stamped out. The tables had turned; it had always been Eleanor lacking ambition, but now she was the one standing
Tonsents later, Seraphina strode into Percival’s office, where he tossed the contract in front of her. “Prepare for the penalty fee and get out of the company.”
Get out? Seraphina scoffed. “Mr. Percival may have forgotten that when I signed with Heavens Arts, my salary was clearly tied to Eleanor’s activities in the contract. Over he years, as her starlight has faded with Celeste rising, my pay has strayed far from what the company originally promised. Who breached the contract first? Every catement I made prioritized Eleanor’s interests. Where did I violate that contract?”
You… Percival didn’t expect to be outmaneuvered by a mere manager and felt humiliated in an instant
