Chapter 2
She thought that there was plenty of time ahead, as long as she worked hard enough, she would definitely be able to make him notice
her.
Three years into their marriage, his attitude toward her could never be considered close.
Just as Krista’s confidence was repeatedly being shattered, she discovered that album.
The photos stored in the album were of a girl from the age of six to twenty–five, and she shouldn’t have cared so much.
But what if this person is the girl that the husband has liked for many years, and the photo album is still being updated even after marriage?
Krista couldn’t help but hold a grudge.
Moreover, on the second night, Frankle, who never touched alcohol, rarely got drunk and his usually cold eyes were filled with so much joy that it was almost overflowing
She found out after inquiring that Rosa had divorced.
At that moment, she laughed at herself and decided to completely end this hopeless marriage.
Perhaps after receiving the divorce signature, when Krista returned to the home she had lived in for three years, she always felt a little strange in her heart.
As she looked at this cozy little nest she had built with her own hands, many memories flooded her mind.
Her gaze wandered around before finally settling on the wedding photo in the living room, which was constantly being wiped clean.
Seeing Frankie’s forced smile on the photo again, she felt it was extremely dazzling and couldn’t help but take the photo down and throw it into the trash bin downstairs.
Throughout the night, Krista was cleaning up the post–marital property.
As soon as Frankie came back, he noticed the missing wedding photos. He looked at his wife, who was busy writing something, and asked with a rare frown.
“What about the wedding photos?”
“The nail became loose, and I was afraid it would fall off and hit someone.”
Frankie didn’t ask any more questions and placed the late–night snack next to her. She turned around and entered the study
Smelling the enticing fragrance, Krista stopped her hand.
After opening the bag and seeing the spicy midnight snack inside, she felt a sour and unbearable sensation in her nasal cavity. Married for three years, she always ate light due to her stomach illness.
But her husband had no idea at all.
If it was her
her in the past, she would eat it all, even if it was too spicy, just to please him.
But now, she only carried the whole bag downstairs and threw it away.
From today on, she would throw away all the grievances and sorrows in this marriage.
It was late at night, and Krista couldn’t fall asleep for a long time.
She buried her head in the pillow, lost in her thoughts, when suddenly a mischievous hand appeared around her waist.
Feeling the scorching breath coming from behind, Krista instinctively dodged outward, avoiding the kiss that was about to land. Frankie was surprised by this resistant action.

Frankie was surprised by this resistant action.
After all, for the past three years of their marriage, it had always been Krista who took the initiative to embrace and cuddle.
He was finally moved once, but she rejected him, so it was inevitable for him to ask one more question.
“Feeling down?”
“I had my period.”
Krista made up an excuse, and Frankie didn’t think much about it. He nodded and tucked her in.
Before going to bed, as usual, he reviewed his day and suddenly remembered the real estate contract he had during the day, so he asked about it.
“Where is the property contract? I want to take a look and see if there are any loopholes.”
Krista’s heart thumped loudly as she stared at him.
“Do you really want to see it?”
Frankie looked at her nervous expression, furrowed his brow slightly, and nodded gently.
After a moment of silence, Krista got up and went to the study to retrieve the paper agreement.
Just as it was about to be handed over to him, a sudden and abrupt ringing sound echoed
Frankie answered the phone first.
“Frankie! Terrence got drunk again and is swearing at people putside. Please come quickly, I’m so scared!”
Thinking of Rosa’s fierce and brave ex–husband, Frankie’s face changed and he quickly put on his coat to rush over.
Watching his hurried figure, Krista called out to him.
“Is there anything happening to the girl who wanted a divorce again?”
Frankie was about to agree, but he was afraid that she would overthink it late at night, so he decided to exaggerate the situation.
“Yes, her ex–husband got drunk again and stood outside with a knife, I had to go and check, otherwise there might be a life–threatening situation.”
Krista did not try to persuade any further, she only gave two sentences of safety instructions.
After Frankie left, Krista didn’t close her eyes until it was bright outside.
She picked up her phone to check the time, but she discovered that Rosa had secretly added a new Timeline two days ago.
In the video, a red sun rose slowly from between the mountains, pouring down golden radiance across the sky.
Shouts of surprise came from all directions, and as the camera turned, Frankie’s figure flashed by.
