Chapter 14
On the seventh day since Krista left, Frankie was almost pushed to the brink
In a situation where there was no way to retreat and a bottomless abyss lay behind him, he suddenly became sober.
Although the cooling–off period has ended, the procedures have not been completed yet.
Whether it was obtaining a divorce certificate or filing for divorce, Krista had to come back.
After realizing this, Frankie, who had been despondent for a long time, picked himself up again.
He applied to end his vacation and the first thing he did when he returned to the law firm was to look for Elvis.
In the past few days, Elvis forwarded countless messages for the sake of Frankie. Seeing Frankie’s haggard and emaciated appearance again, there was still some reluctance in his heart.
Elvis was about to comfort him, but he spoke first, his tone returning to calm.
“Elvis, please tell her that I agreed to divorce and ask her to come back to process the divorce certificate.
Upon hearing these words, Elvis almost spat out his tea.
“Is that it? No more attempts to persuade? After all, we were married for three years!”
“She consistently refused to communicate with me, what else could I do? I had no choice but to let her go, I couldn’t possibly take her to
court.”
Elvis listened with a sigh, shaking his head helplessly.
“Since that’s the case, I’ll inform Ms. Garner. Frankie, don’t be too upset either.”
Frankie didn’t say anything else and turned back to the office.
He sat on the chair, and his tense body finally relaxed a little. He was still planning the next steps in his mind,
In fact, he never had any intention of getting divorced. The reason he said that to Elvis was just because he wanted to see Krista first.
As soon as she returned to Raytown, he had the opportunity to explain to her.
She had liked him for ten years, and as long as all the misunderstandings were cleared up, there should still be a chance to start over
When Elvis’s message arrived, Krista was sunbathing at the beach.
In the past week, she traveled to two or three cities and had completely forgotten about the troublesome matter of divorce.
She felt a sudden doubt in her heart when she saw Frankie agree to the divorce.
She has been harassed by him these days, and she agreed so quickly?
Is it another trick that he thought of to deceive her again?
Just to be sure, Krista consulted Elvis again about the follow–up procedures and learned that both spouses need to personally handle the divorce certificate; otherwise, she would have no choice but to file for divorce and remain speechless before the heavens.
She just wanted to get a divorce. Why was it so difficult?
It seems that the subsequent travel plans can only be temporarily shelved.
She sighed heavily, put on her sunglasses, and returned to the hotel to start packing her things.
The next morning at ten o’clock, she took a plane and returned to RaytownL
Kylie had been waiting at the airport for a long time, and as soon as she saw him in the crowd, she exclaimed.
“Krista, how did you get so much tanned?”

“What tanning, this is called a healthy wheat color!”
Seeing her able to say such words with a smile, Kylie, who had been worried about her, finally felt relieved and took her home.
On the way, Krista talked about her experiences during the journey. While Kylle listened with envy, she also had some concerns about the divorce process, so she asked a question.
“Did Frankie really agree to the divorce?”
Krista was actually unsure about this.
But when she came back this time, she had made up her mind to completely resolve this matter, and she nodded resolutely.
“The cooling–off period has passed, whether he agrees or not doesn’t matter, if he changes his mind at the last minute, you can still sue, don’t worry.”
“If we were to go to court, wouldn’t it take a long time again?”
