Chapter 13
On the third day since Krista left, Frankie tried every possible way but still couldn’t reach her.
Time kept passing, and the panic in his heart grew increasingly intense.
These past few days, Rosa looked for him many times, and he turned down all of them.
So when she came to see him and saw his haggard appearance, she was startled and her eyes were filled with concern.
“Frankie, what happened?
Now, looking at Rosa appearing in front of his eyes again, Frankie’s emotions were very complicated.
He had already transformed his love for her into familial affection, but he had never found the opportunity to say it out loud.
After Krista left because she misunderstood their relationship, he could no longer delay and had to find an opportunity to explain everything clearly.
“Rosa, I have been in touch with Krista recently.”
“Krista? What happened to?”
Watching the tension appearing on Rosa’s face, Frankie became even more ashamed.
“She disappeared, and I couldn’t find her.”
“Ah? Why did he suddenly disappear? Is it because of the divorce? Is it related to her ex–husband?”
“It was because of the divorce, and it was also related to my ex–husband, or more accurately, it was related to me.”
Rosa became even more puzzled.
Looking at her puzzled face, Frankie gathered up the courage and confessed.
“I am Krista’s ex–husband. We got married three years ago, and I have been keeping it a secret from you all these years. I’m sorry,
Rosa.”
The news hit Rosa’s heart like a heavy hammer, and she instantly froze in place.
All those strange sixth senses that had caught her attention before, turned out to be no illusions.
She suddenly realized, but still couldn’t accept this reality, and questioned in a voiceless manner.
“Why keep it a secret? Is that fair to Krista?”
Frankie was speechless and didn’t know how to explain the complex emotions in his heart.
This silence, however, made Rosa’s emotions even more excited.
She recalled the conversation she had with Krista last time and felt full of guilt and regret.
If Krista had known that her husband was Frankie, she would have definitely extinguished all those thoughts that shouldn’t have existed, and she would never have mentioned them in front of her.
As soon as Rosa thought about herself becoming the catalyst that accelerated the breakdown of their marital relationship, even though unintentionally, she still felt extreme pain.
“It’s not me who should apologize, but Krista!”
“I knew, but she disappeared after the divorce, I couldn’t find her at all.”
As soon as Rosa heard this, she knew that Krista had completely given up, and her heart felt even more uncomf
uncomfortable.
No one understood Krista’s feelings better than her.

“It is impossible for someone to disappear without a trace. If you have no way to contact Krista, it can only prove that you have never cared about her!”
One sentence pierced through the bloody truth, causing Frankie’s heart to ache with intense pain.
He drooped his head despondently, with a sour and unbearable sensation in his nostrils.
“These three years were me being sorry to her, disregarding her efforts, and ignoring her feelings…
By the end, his voice had become choked up.
Rosa also remained silent in the end.
She turned around silently and walked away with heavy steps.
As Frankie watched her walk away, the sadness and regret in his heart grew stronger.
The situation has reached this point today, all because of his fault, yet he has dragged two innocent people into it.
