Chapter 15 – Just Wedded
FREYA
I stumbled through the front door, my heart heavy with pain. The familiar scent of home felt suffocating, reminding me of all the moments I shared with Roy.
I wiped my tears, but they kept flowing, blurring my vision as I made my way to the bedroom. I couldn’t stay here. I was tired of being hurt, tired of feeling betrayed.
As I packed my suitcase, each item felt like a weight pulling me down.
“What am I doing?” I whispered to myself, my voice cracking.

I didn’t want to leave, but the image of Roy
in bed with Raina played on repeat in my mind. It was too much to bear.
Suddenly, I heard a knock at the door. My heart skipped a beat. I knew it was probably Roy, but I didn’t want to see him. I ignored it, focusing on zipping up my suitcase. But the knocking grew more insistent, and then I
heard his voice.
“Freya! Please, let me in!”
I froze. “Go away, Roy!” I shouted, trying to keep my voice steady.
“Please! Just let us talk!” Ivan added, sounding desperate.
I hesitated, my heart racing. Part of me wanted to slam the door and never look back,

but another part wanted to hear what he had
to say.
With a deep breath, I opened the door, and there they stood–Roy looking disheveled and
anxious, Ivan with that concerned look on his
face.
“Freya, please,” Roy said, his voice trembling. “Just hear us out.”
“What do you want, Roy?” I replied, my anger bubbling just beneath the surface.
“I just… I need you to see something,” he said, stepping into the house without waiting for an invitation. Ivan followed, closing the door behind him.
“What is it?” I asked, crossing my arms defensively.

Roy pulled out his phone and tapped the screen before showing me the footage from the CCTV. My heart raced as I watched the scene unfold. There was Roy, looking confused and clearly under the influence, while Raina loomed over him, her smile
sinister. The realization hit me like a wave: he
hadn’t betrayed me. Raina had drugged
him.
“Oh my God,” I gasped, my hand flying to my mouth. “Roy…”
“I’m so sorry, Freya,” he said, his voice thick with regret. “I didn’t know what she was doing. I would never hurt you.‘

cheeks. “I was so hurt, Roy. I thought I lost you.”
“I’m sorry for everything.”
“I’m sorry too,” I whispered, “I should have believed you.”
For a moment, we stood there in silence,
before Ivan‘ s voice broke it.
“I’m sorry, Freya, I acted like an ass the last time. Forgive me, brother,” Ivan apologized.
I nodded at him, “It’s alright, Ivan.”
Roy punched him playfully, “Don’t come near my woman again.”
Ivan laughed, “I won‘ t.”
Then, suddenly, Roy’s eyes lit up with an idea. “What if we just get married? Right

now.
“”
“What?” I asked, taken aback. “What do you mean?”
“Why wait for a fancy wedding?” he said, excitement creeping into his voice. “Let’s go to a chapel. Just you, me, and Ivan as our witness. We can make it official today.”
My heart raced at the thought. “You want to do that?”
“Yes! I want to commit to you, to make it real, no matter what happened before. Just us,” he urged, his eyes shining with sincerity.
I glanced at Ivan, who nodded encouragingly. “It’s a great idea, Freya. You both deserve this.”

“Okay,” I said, my heart fluttering. “Let’s
do it.

Roy grabbed my hand, and we rushed out the door, excitement bubbling between us as we headed to the chapel.
When we arrived at the small chapel, it felt magical. We stepped inside, and an elderly priest greeted us with a warm smile.
“Are you here to get married?” he asked, his eyes twinkling.
“Yes!” Roy and I said in unison, and I couldn’t help but laugh through my tears.
The priest laughed, “You scheduled for three weeks from today.”
“We want to do it right now, if that’s alright

by you, sir,” Roy insisted.
The priest nodded, “Of course, let’s go.”
The priest led us through the ceremony, his voice calm and comforting. “Do you, Roy, take Freya to be your lawfully wedded wife?”
“I do,” he said, his voice filled with
determination.
“And do you, Freya, take Roy to be your lawfully wedded husband?”
“I do,” I replied, my heart swelling with love.
The priest smiled. “By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.”
Roy stepped forward, and as he pulled me

into his arms, I felt a rush of warmth and love wash over me. Our lips met, and in that moment, everything else faded away.
As we pulled away, I looked into his eyes, “I love you,” I whispered, my voice full of joy.
“I love you too, Freya,” he replied, his eyes shining with happiness.
“Congratulations,” Ivan hugged us, “Now, let’s go inform the family. I’m sure Grandma would be excited to know you got married without informing her.”
We laughed as we walked away from the chapel. I knew that at this moment I had everything I’d ever desired and even though Raina might strike again, I was certain we would overcome her because we were

stronger together.
“How does Paris sound for our
honeymoon?” Roy whispered in my ears, his
eyes twinkling with mischief.
