Warren complained, “Why didn’t you say hello to Marilyn?”
I looked into Warren’s eyes filled with disgust, even though my heart was already dead, I couldn’t help but feel a wave of pain. This was the child I had loved for seven years…
Suddenly, Warren took Marilyn’s hand and said, “Marilyn, why don’t you come and stay at my house? You have my little brother or sister in your belly, we can’t neglect them! The bedroom on the third floor was our room, Geovanni and mine.

Actually, on the way home, I had already investigated and found out that three years ago,
the big fire happened because Marilyn’s parents died in a car accident. The Duncan family happened to have a project that needed support from the Stanley family. As a result, Geovanni couldn’t accompany Marilyn to deal with her parents‘ affairs. Under the pressure from the Stanley family, he couldn’t even be by Marilyn’s side.
So Geovanni got drunk because he didn’t want to face me.
