Chapter 9
Bradyn and I left together, with Oliver roaring behind us, and I didn’t look back.
I have given him too many chances already; my heart has completely died for him.
I thought my indifferent attitude would make Oliver leave.
But instead of leaving, he not only found my place but also rented a house next to mine.
The next morning, he made breakfast and brought it to me.
I didn’t open the door, and he said at the door, “Emilia, I made your favorite mashed potatoes and left it at the door for you.”
‘It’s okay if you don’t want to see me, but you must eat. You just had an abortion, so you must take care of your body.”
I suddenly remembered that not long after we got married, I was extremely saddened because my parents died in a car accident.
Back then, I didn’t eat or drink all day, I just lay in bed crying, not interested in anything.
He cooked for me and accompanied me every day.
He said, “Emilia, you need to eat, your health is the most important.”
“Although uncle and aunt are no longer here, I am still here with you.”
Oliver was really good at taking care of people and showing concern for them.
But I knew very clearly that his heart wasn’t only with me.
In the afternoon, Bradyn sent me a WhatsApp message asking me to go out and set up a stall to draw, and only then did I open the door.
I was surprised to see Oliver sitting at my doorstep, holding a thermos in his arms.
Seeing me, he had a joyful expression on his face and quickly got up.
“Emilia, you finally came out. Would you like to eat something? It’s not cold yet.”
The person who had abandoned me so many times was him.
The person who is good to me now was also him.
I really didn’t know what he was thinking in his mind.
didn’t eat, Oliver. I beg you, please stop disturbing my life. We have completely ended.”
“And why are you coming to me now when you used to be so fond of Ariel?
I looked at him.
He hurriedly explained to me, “Emilia, listen to me, Ariel and I really have nothing, I don’t like her
either.”
“I left you those few times because she had an accident.”
“Didn’t you ever wonder why it was such a coincidence?”
“I now know that she had been deceiving me all along, she did not commit suicide, nor was she
sick.”
He grabbed my hand.
“Emilia, you know, I have always been kind–hearted. At that time, I thought she was really sick, and she didn’t know anyone in Eritown, so that’s why I went to find her.
”
“Can you give me another chance, please? I will definitely show you how much I love you this time.”
I pushed his hand away, my voice coldly saying, “No need.”
“I had given you so many chances, but you didn’t cherish them.”
After saying that, I left without looking back.
Oliver actually followed me all the time, buying me water and sitting on the same bus with me.
Even though I was indifferent to him, he acted as if nothing happened and continued talking about
himself.
He told me that he had prepared a wedding for me in our country, and the wedding dress and jewelry had all been chosen.
These were all things I once wanted him to accompany me to choose because of our remarriage. I wanted to hold a ceremony again.
But every time, he couldn’t accompany me because of Ariel’s matters.
Now I don’t want these anymore, and he has brought them back to me again.
I felt disgusted.
I looked outside the window and didn’t say a word.
After arriving at the destination, Oliver saw Bradyn.
He suddenly became angry and said, “So you took such a long journey just to find him?”
“Yes.”
I turned around and looked at him.
