Book3–Chapter 1
On the day of Oliver Graham’s fifth attempt to remarry me, he bought me a house and purchased an expensive ring.
He was full of sincerity, and I thought this time it would definitely succeed.
After arriving at the Civil Hall, he immediately abandoned me to go find his ex, claiming that she was feeling unwell.
I called him and he impatiently said, “What’s more important, human life or remarriage?”
But we attempted to remarry f
times, and each time, he would leave me because of his ex.
Later, I decided not to remarry him, leave this city, and pursue my own dreams.
Oliver searched the entire city to find me.
“What, you said Ariel had a fever?”
Oliver furrowed his brow and spoke into the phone.
My heart suddenly skipped a beat, as if it missed a beat.
Here came another call from that bitch.
The plan of remarriage would be disrupted again today.
Sure enough, the next second Oliver said to me, “Emilia, Ariel’s situation is very serious now, sol can we get married next time?”
He walked towards the Civil Hall door while speaking, holding the car keys.
It was ridiculous that having a fever was considered a serious situation.
I grabbed him firmly.
“It’s almost our turn.”
“Can’t you go after we get the certificate?”
He pushed me away and spoke in an annoyed tone, “Are you kidding? Can you stop being temperamental? We can get married anytime, but she’s in poor condition now!”
After saying that, he left directly.
Someone couldn’t help but comment next to us, “Is this guy really this girl’s husband?”
“He actually dared to leave on the day of receiving the marriage certificate. If it were me, I would
1/4
have kicked him directly.”
it was really outrageous!”
Yeah, I also thought it was outrageous.
Who would have thought, that this was already my fifth time coming to Civil Hall with Oliver?
Even the staff recognized us.
At that moment, it was our turn.
The staff also asked me, “Did he leave again?”
“Um.”
I spoke with bitterness.
“Sorry for the inconvenience.”
Then, I turned around and left.
When I walked out of the door, it suddenly started snowing heavily.
The snow wind blew onto me, chilling not only my body but also my heart.
Oliver and I were married for two years.
Later, he wanted to develop his career in the south, while I wanted to stay in the north to
accompany my parents.
We divorced due to different plans, and it was a peaceful divorce.
Later on, it was heard that he found a girl from the south.
She was extremely beautiful, and most importantly, she had the same hobbies as him. She liked
medicine.
So the two of them became doctors together, but they soon separated due to their incompatible
personalities.
Then, Oliver came back to me.
That day, it snowed heavily in Eritown, and the two of us went to eat fondue together.
When we were in college, we used to go to that restaurant together.
The fondue from that day was delicious, and with smoke swirling around, his nose became slightly
red from the cold.
He said, “Emilia, let’s get remarried.”
24
“I stayed in Eritown for you.”
At that moment, my heart trembled fiercely.
