Chapter 5
Ryla, however, was extremely excited. Briley had left, and she was alone with Zain. This was a great opportunity, and she couldn’t miss it.
And I had already taken the train back home.
My father passed away in his early years, and my mother, worn out from years of hard work, also passed away a couple of years ago after my father’s departure.
Only a distant great–aunt is still alive.
When she saw me coming back, Grandma’s eyes lit up. “Briley, you’re back. Didn’t you say you got married? Didn’t you bring a man back?”
I immediately threw myself into his arms and said, “Grandma, I got divorced!”
Grandma hesitated for a while, she touched my hair and said, “That child is not good, let’s not keep him. There are plenty of men, Grandma will find a new one for you!”
“Um, okay!”
After sitting on the train for over twenty hours, I dared not rest or sleep for a moment. The train was crowded, and there were thieves around. I didn’t dare to be careless at all.
At this moment, I finally relaxed completely.
After I recovered, Grandma had already made pasta. When she saw the bandage on my forehead, she couldn’t help but feel distressed, “That damn bastard, if he were in front of me, I would break his legs! Did he do this to you?”
I didn’t deny it, “Madam, it’s already in the past, and he has also been punished.”
Before I left, I performed a big play, letting everyone know that I was bullied by Zain and left because I was completely disappointed in him.
And with my face covered in blood, as pitiful as it could be, I refuse to believe that no one would stand by my side. Zain, he betrayed me, and there’s no way I would let him off the hook.
Grandma saw me gobbling up a big bowl of pasta and couldn’t help but sigh, “Tell me, what kind of suffering did you go through? Now that you’re back, take good care of your health!”
I nodded repeatedly, my body needed to be well taken care of, but I couldn’t afford to miss out on making money either..
Nowadays, the country encourages individual businesses, I plan

to start a small business myself. I my great–aunt about it, and she smiled and said, “What do you want to sell? You shouldn’t invest too much capital, and it should be something that sells well.”
I thought about it, and I realized that I only knew how to cook, and I learned it from my mom.
In our town not far away, there is a school. The food in the school cafeteria is not necessarily delicious, but it definitely cannot compare to the food at home. I will make some raviolis and pancakes to try first.
I went to the town right away and took a look at the traffic around the school. I found that there was no pasta shop, but there was a state–owned restaurant.
Across the street is a textile factory, with many workers coming and going. I chose a central position to ensure that they could pass by.
I bought flour and meat and went home. After my aunt helped me for two hours, I borrowed a truck and dragged one hundred steamed buns and one hundred large meat buns to the town.
After walking for an hour, when I arrived at the destination, I was already exhausted. I opened the basket and uncovered the white cloth, picked up a steamed bun, and took out the spicy sauce that my grandmother made for me. I took a bite while eating.
When the fragrance wafted out, it made passersby unable to help but stop.
Afterward, students started to leave one after another, and the workers from the textile factory also finished their work. The business couldn’t be stopped once it started. I packed the bags and collected the money all by myself, and I was so busy that I was flying. In less than two hours, everything was sold out. Looking at the money in my hands, I almost burst out laughing.
In this short period, I earned a month’s salary of an ordinary worker. It was more profitable than going to work. Without saying a word, I went to the supply and marketing cooperative to buy flour and meat, and by the time I rushed back home, it was already afternoon.
