“The real thief is Big Mike!”
The bodyguard named Big Mike trembled on his knees:
“Mr. Orion, I was just momentarily confused, please spare me…”
“Madam, please speak on my behalf, I won’t dare again!”
But Celeste’s face was no better, and I noticed her eyes filled with guilt and regret.
Seeing this, I let out a bitter laugh:
“A moment of confusion. Because of your momentary confusion, I was stripped in public, my brother was blinded, are our lives so worthless?!”
Seeing my lifeless expression, Orion hugged me in panic, patting my back:
“Nora, no, it’s my fault, I was blind and deaf, believing their lies. They will pay for this, I promise…”
Saying this, Orion looked coldly at Big Mike on the ground:
“If he’s dishonest, then we don’t need his dishonest limbs. Drag him out and cripple him!”
“No… please don’t-” Big Mike knocked his head repeatedly in terror, but Orion paid him no attention.
“It wasn’t me, it was Celeste!” Just as he was about to be dragged away, Big Mike broke down:
“It was Celeste who instructed me to frame Nora! It was all Celeste’s plan!”
Celeste’s face turned deathly pale as she screamed and cursed Big Mike for lying.
But desperate to live, Big Mike hesitated no more, revealing Celeste’s entire plan.
As Big Mike finished his last sentence, Orion’s anger reached its peak.
Seeing Celeste still trying to argue, I took out my phone.
In Celeste’s hateful gaze, her words to me in the hospital room played clearly.
Celeste looked at me incredulously:
“You… you recorded it! You b*tch!”
Her words had barely fallen when Orion slapped her angrily.
“Orion, I can explain everything… don’t believe Nora, don’t leave me…”

“I’m truly sorry, I shouldn’t have deceived you, I truly regret it…”
But faced with Celeste’s tearful pleas, Orion remained unmoved.
Orion had always been good to Celeste because he thought she saved his life.
But now, with the truth revealed, Orion only regretted not seeing through her sooner.
Orion, full of rage, stomped on Celeste’s hand:
“It’s because you deceived me that I misunderstood Nora! Since you caused this mess, you should be the one to make amends!”
“These eyes don’t belong to you. Take her away and have the doctor remove her corneas to give back to Nora’s brother!”
“No, don’t!” Celeste screamed and struggled, fear gradually surfacing in her eyes:
“I don’t want to be blind! Orion, you can’t do this to me, I’m the one who truly loves you!”
“Let me go, Orion, let me go… please-”
Orion covered my ears, soothing my trembling body:
“Nora, it’s over, the nightmare is over…”
E
“Let me take care of you from now on, take care of Quentin, so our family can live happily together, alright?”
“No, please don’t!” Celeste screamed, struggling as fear took over her who truly loves you!”
“Let me go, Orion, I’m begging you…”
eves “I don’t want to go blind! Orion, you can’t do this to me. I’m the one
Orion gently covered my ears, trying to calm my trembling form. “Nora, it’s over now, the nightmare is behind us…”
“From now on, let me look after you and Quentin. Let’s live happily together as a family, shall we?”
I nestled into Orion’s embrace, tears streaming down uncontrollably, my voice shaking, “Okay…”
Seeing me consent, Orion couldn’t hide his joy, missing the brief flash of coldness in my eyes.
As Orion was lost in dreams of our future, his bodyguard rushed in, flustered, “Mr. Orion, Celeste has escaped!”
On hearing this, I froze. Then, with growing concern, I clutched Orion’s shirt, “Celeste escaped, what about my brother’s eyes?”
“Orion, my brother can’t lose his sight…”
Seeing my distress, Orion held my hand, “Nora, don’t worry. I’ll find Celeste, even if it means turning over every stone!”
Orion tried to comfort me further, but before he could, I suddenly collapsed and fainted.
When I came to, Orion was sitting by my hospital bed, a look of deep sorrow in his eyes, “Nora, how did you get kidney failure? And how could it
be in the late stage…”
I forced a smile and calmly revealed everything I’d kept hidden. Upon learning the truth, Orion broke down, hitting himself, “I’m a terrible person… You’ve done so much for me, yet I hated you… How could I?”
I watched him with cold eyes, then embraced him when the moment felt right, “Orion, this was my choice, don’t blame yourself… My only regret is not being able to marry you…”
“I really, really love you…”
Orion held me tight, his voice hoarse but resolute, “Nora, you’re the only one I’ll ever marry in this life…”
