She asked, “Do you really not want to live?”
Her crying made me sad too. I wanted to lift my hand and wipe her tears.
To tell her, don’t worry about me.

“You said to say goodbye properly, so there’d be no regrets.”
“You haven’t said goodbye to your mom, or to me, how could you leave like that.…….”
My tears fell with hers.
The life monitor started beeping, and the doctor urged Phoebe to keep talking to me.
He said I was showing signs of waking
