“I heard from my son that you were the one who smashed his car?” His gaze wandered, as if he was still trying to figure out my identity.
I looked at him with a half–smile, neither agreeing nor disagreeing.
“Your son’s right. I did smash it.”
Callum didn’t expect such a direct response and froze for a moment.
“How did Malcolm offend you? Why did you have to smash his car in front of so many people? Isn’t it basic not to hit someone’s face when you’re already striking them, Mr. Lancaster?”
What a line. “Don’t hit the face while striking someone.”
This father and son were truly alike, speaking in the same tone and style.
Today, I planned to do more than just punish them; I would humiliate them.
I glanced at Malcolm, who stood behind his father and sneered. “You should ask your son why he smashed my
car.”
Before Callum could speak, Malcolm jumped out and said arrogantly, “So what if I smashed it? What are you going to do about it? Don’t think you’re something just because you know a few soldiers. My dad frequently drinks and dines with the leaders in the city.”
I bet Callum must have regretted letting his son talk like this.
Malcolm was his father’s pride and joy. With a son like him, it’s only a matter of time before the Fitzroy Family faced ruin.
Sure enough, Callum shot a fierce glare at his son, signaling him to shut up.
“Mr. Lancaster, could you tell me where your car is?”
I nonchalantly pointed to the Phantom S9 behind me. “Over there. Unfortunately, your son spent more than twenty minutes trying to wreck it but still couldn’t cause any damage.”
When Callum saw the car, his face froze. “Phantom S9!”
Hooked at Malcolm, who was still lost in his own thoughts and almost couldn’t hold back my laugh.
“Mr. Fitzroy, you truly have a good eye, recognizing the car with just one glance. Unlike your son, who spent so much time trying to wreck it and still didn’t know what car it was.”
As I spoke, I kept an eye on Callum’s facial expressions.
“Now that you know the situation, do you think it was right for me to smash your son’s car?”
Callum snapped back to reality, looking at me with astonishment in his eyes. “You said your last name is Lancaster. Are you… the military district commissioner, Griffin, who’s been attending meetings down south?”
I snapped my fingers. “Congratulations, you got it right.”
“As a reward, I’ve decided to let you handle this matter. Just don’t disappoint me.”
Callum stared at me, his mouth agape in shock.
At this moment, Malcolm finally realized something was wrong. He grabbed his father’s arm and shook it urgently.
“Dad, what’s going on? Say something! What’s this ‘Special Commissioner‘ thing? Isn’t it just someone who’s been in the army? Is he more powerful than you? Dad, why is your face so pale…”
Callum took a long moment to recover, finally catching his breath.
“Mr. Lancaster, please name your price.”
I pressed my lips together before responding. “What do you mean by asking me to name a price, Mr. Fitzroy? Are you trying to buy me off with money? To be honest, I’ve been in the military zone for quite a while and I’ve seen

Callum trembled, unable to make eye contact with me.
“Mr. Lancaster, my son was indeed in the wrong today. I’m willing to make compensation. As long as you make a request, I won’t negotiate. I always keep my word!”
