By now, the neatly dressed professionals from the cars were nearing the activity area.
The crowd, Samuel’s sycophants, and the parents filming all wore eager expressions, anticipating the drama about to unfold.
They exchanged glances at me, smirking and whispering to each other. The tension in the air was thick as the scene was set for the drama about to unfold.
They smirked and reveled in my discomfort.
Only Samuel stepped forward, lowering his voice as he locked eyes with me. “Did you call them here? Are you really so petty that you had to escalate this?”
“Don’t forget, I’m the general manager now. I’m their boss!” I shot back with a grin. “We’ll see about that.”
Noticing Samuel and I in conversation, Rachel hurried over, still putting on her act. “Samuel, I know you feel bad for me and brought the legal team to support me.”
“But I was wrong today too. Let’s just drop it.”
She feigned innocence, turning her cheek to show Samuel where I had slapped her, her son Leo pushing me lightly. “Just wait! Dad’s team is going to beat you up so bad you won’t know what hit you!”
I took a step back intentionally. Leo, without my support, stumbled and hit the ground hard, a big bump rising on his forehead.
“What are you doing bullying a child?! What if h
eriously hurt?” Samuel glared at me.
I couldn’t help but respond, “Samuel, are you blind?”
Rachel quickly scooped Leo into her arms, wailing, “He’s just a kid! How could he hurt you? Why did you have to be so rough?!”
“Quincy, if you’re angry, take it out on me. The child is innocent!”
Her words stirred Samuel, who looked ready to lash out at me.
At that moment, the men in suits reached us. The onlookers anticipated the security guards would restrain me, and Samuel would retaliate against me for Rachel.
But to everyone’s surprise, the bodyguards stepped protectively in front of me.
One guard grabbed Samuel’s arm and threw him aside effortlessly.
Silence fell over the crowd.
This wasn’t how they expected things to unfold!
Samuel quickly got back up and shouted at the guard blocking me, “Do you want to lose your job?! I’m the general manager! I pay your salary!”
A sycophant who had previously been ingratiating himself with Samuel nervously looked between us and asked, “Mr. Brown, did these people make a mistake?”
Others began to realize what was happening, exchanging confused glances.
Rachel clung to Samuel, looking wronged. “Samuel, you’re the general manager of Flying Group! You have to get justice for Leo!”
She still believed these men were here because of Samuel, her eyes filled with malice and satisfaction.
Just then, another group of suited men approached, led by a man in gold–rimmed glasses.
It was Luke, the head of Flying’s legal department.
Someone in the crowd.
5:37 PM
“I heard he hasn’t lost a case in five years!”
Luke walked right past Samuel, ignoring his calls, and respectfully addressed me. “Madam Chairman, everything has been handled as per your instructions.”
His voice was calm but clear, shocking everyone present as they looked at me.
“What? Madam Chairman? Did I hear that right?!”
“Aren’t these people from Flying? Isn’t Samuel their leader? Why are they siding with Quincy?”
An excited parent in the crowd exclaimed, “Folks, plot twist! Stay tuned!”
Rachel looked flustered but tried to hold her composure. “Samuel, what’s happening? Aren’t these people here for you?”
Samuel ignored her and turned to o me, lowering his voice. “Do you really need to make us both look bad? I’m still Lily’s father. This will hurt
her.
Then he demanded, “Get these people out of here! And you too! We’ll discuss this at home!”
I enunciated every word: “How dare you mention Lily? You don’t deserve to be her father.”
I shifted my gaze around, speaking firmly. “Everything that happened today needs a resolution.”
“I’m Lily Su’s mother and the Chairwoman of Flying Group,” I declared. “And him,” I pointed at Samuel, “he’s just a son–in–law who married into
our family.”
I took the marriage certificate from Luke’s hand, displayed it, and smashed it on the ground.
In that moment, humiliation flashed across Samuel’s face.
But this was just the beginning.
Gasps filled the air as people’s jaws dropped in disbelief.
The quick–thinking parent zoomed in on the marriage certificate. “Look, everyone! Plot twist!”
“Here’s the real mistress!” she added, preparing to shove her camera in Rachel’s face.
Rachel, still in shock, quickly covered her face. “Stop filming!”
The onlookers started to murmur. “So we misunderstood?!”
“Who wouldn’t misunderstand? This is outrageous! How can someone abandon their wife and daughter to flaunt their mistress and illegitimate child?”
“I’ve never seen such shamelessness!”
As for Samuel’s former supporters, they quickly changed sides, cursing him and Rachel along with everyone else.
Samuel, flushed with anger, shouted, “Quincy, do you have to humiliate me like this? How will Lily face anyone now?”
Rachel seemed to grasp the situation and put on an act, crying, “It’s all my fault. I asked Samuel for help. Leo has grown up without a father, and I just needed him to pretend for a day. Who would have thought… it’s our fault as a poor widowed mother and son!”
With that, she fell to her knees before me, slapping herself.
Samuel and Leo rushed to stop her, Samuel glaring at me with bloodshot eyes. “Are you trying to drive Rachel to despair?”
Some onlookers began to feel sorry for Rachel. “She’s just a mother trying to give her son a perfect birthday.”
“How cruel to use influence against a widowed mother and her son!”
I stepped forward, amusement in my eyes. “Was it really just innocent help?”
Rachel froze, not knowing how to respond as Luke presented an investigation report.
The crowd erupted once again.
When Rachel had given birth years ago, Samuel had been with her the entire time. There were video recordings and medical records to confirm it.
Rachel was indeed an unmarried mother, but the child had a father – Samuel.
No wonder, all those years, whenever Samuel bought gifts for Lily, he bought one for Leo too.
I hadn’t thought much of it before, but now I saw the signs.
I recalled a year when a flu outbreak hit Deerfield. Lily was sick for days, and I managed to get some special medicine just for her. The next day, it disappeared.
When I confronted Samuel, he avoided my gaze, claiming it was for a friend’s child in need.
I was furious. Other kids were precious, but wasn’t my Lily my everything?
Lily suffered for so long with a high fever, and
eart ached for her.
But later, Samuel let it slip. He had given that rare medicine to Rachel, even though Leo wasn’t even sick. Rachel had just said, “Samuel, I’m worried Leo might catch it too. Can I have some?” Infected. Rachel had just said, “Samuel, I’m worried Leo might catch it too. We should have some medicine ready, just in case.”
Samuel handed it to her.
From that moment, I began to have doubts and hired people to look into things.
Until today, I finally gathered solid proof.
“Samuel, Rachel, you lowlifes! What do you have to say for yourselves?”
I threw the evidence at them. The thin A4 paper sliced Samuel’s cheek, causing it to bleed.
Everyone around us was furious. This was downright despicable!
He had a child with another woman and still married into a wealthy family, using his wife’s fortune to support his ex and their illegitimate
child!
Samuel wiped the blood from his face and suddenly laughed, staring at me coldly:
“So you figured it all out.”
“And? We’re married now. Even If we divorce, I’m entitled to half of your assets. Plus…”
“While you were pregnant and after you gave birth, I took control of the business department. I can easily launch my own company!”
I laughed too.
If it weren’t for my secret approval, how could key staff and overseas hires have taken orders from him?
All major company decisions were mine. He was just a pawn I placed in the spotlight.
But clearly, he had a different view.
Ibad Luke hand him the dive
5:37 PM
I had Luke hand him the divorce papers.
“What?! Leave with nothing? Quincy, you’re dreaming! That’s not happening!”
“If you want a divorce, you have to give me half of the Su family’s assets!”
Samuel ripped the divorce papers apart, staring at me defiantly.
I then had HR manager Xiao Li give Samuel the termination notice.
He tore that up too.
I smiled as the paper scraps floated through the air.
It didn’t matter. Today was just a formality. As everyone said, my legal team never lost!
Letting the law handle it would be easier.
But through the influencer’s livestream, Samuel and Rachel’s reputations were shattered. It was social death.
As Samuel and Rachel tried to leave with Leo, I had the bodyguards block their way.
Samuel turned to me with a menacing look: “What are you doing?!”
I focused on the influencer mom:
“Want to boost your views even more?”
Her eyes sparkled.
I nodded to Luke: “Then let’s roll the footage.”
On the projector, my daughter’s image appeared, surrounded by Leo and other kids.
“This is for calling my dad your dad! I’ll beat you up today!”
Leo kicked Lily in the stomach. She cried out in pain, trying to escape, but the other boys caught her.
“Mistress’s kids deserve to be punished!”
“My mom says bastards like you should never have been born!”
Lily waved her arms to fight back, sobbing so hard she could barely breathe:
“You’re lying! That’s my daddy! Daddy, Mommy, save Lily!”
“Lily’s hurting so much!”
“Daddy, Mommy, where are you?!”
Many parents couldn’t watch anymore. Several mothers broke down in tears right there.
In that moment, reliving that nightmare,
I wanted nothing more than to take down that little brat.
Seeing my fierce, murderous expression,
Samuel stood protectively in front of Leo, while Leo behind him snickered.
“That stupid girl deserved it! Who told her to steal my dad?”

INCAL UIIIe i see fiet, Til caller tui itai:
“She’s just a little bastard!”
I clenched
my
fists tightly, my heart ach
I couldn’t imagine how scared and helpless Lily must have felt.
Mommy didn’t protect you well.
Don’t worry, Mommy will make sure you get justice and that all the bad people pay for what they did.
The sympathetic parents gasped in shock.
This wasn’t just roughhousing. It was pure malice.
What kind of child would act like that and say such cruel things? Their parents must have taught them that.
All the parents sympathized with me in that moment. They called for severe punishment for the parents of those kids.
“They need to be expelled from elementary school!”
“Yes, or our kids will be next!”
“Get them out of here!”
But Samuel, Rachel, and the parents of the bullies shrugged it off. Kids will be kids, right?
Samuel shouted:
“Why are you all making a fuss? Isn’t it normal for kids to play rough? Why are you butting in?!”
“I’m Lily’s real father. If I’m not upset or pressing charges, what business do you have here?!”
I glared at him:
“Samuel, Lily is your daughter too. Don’t you feel anything seeing her bullied like this?”
“Didn’t you hear her begging for her daddy to protect her?!”
“Do you seriously have no conscience left?!”
“Lily is your own flesh and blood!”
Samuel seemed a bit guilty under my gaze, but still insisted:
“She just got a little hurt, she’s fine now! Why are you overreacting?!”
Before I could respond, the other parents couldn’t take it anymore.
“What kind of father talks like that? Even if you’re worried about your other kid, how can you disregard your own daughter?”
“This poor child is so young, how sad to have such a cold–hearted dad!”
“He’s a beast in human form!”
“Worse than a beast!”
Samuel lost his cool from the insults and glared at everyone.
Then he turned to leave.
Just then the police showed up.
5:37 PM
I handed them the video and Lily’s injury report.
The police spoke firmly: “The parents involved will need to come with us.”
Only then did they start to panic. But it was too late.
The kids were minors, but their guardians were still responsible.
After that day, Lily started to heal, and I took legal action against everyone who hurther.
I told Lily, “Sweetheart, Mommy will protect you and get justice.”
She seemed to understand, snuggling into my arms, calling out “Mommy, Mommy, Mommy” in her sweet voice.
Faced with hefty compensation demands, those parents came begging at my door, wanting to settle.
Some brought their children and punished them harshly in front of my house:
“I’ll teach you not to bully others! I’ll teach you not to bully others!”
The kids were sobbing uncontrollably.
“Madam Chairman, we’ve disciplined our kids. Please forgive us. We’re begging you!”
But I wouldn’t budge.
I would never forgive those who hurt my child.
As for Samuel, Rachel, and Leo, they couldn’t even leave their house anymore.
Online, people were calling Samuel an ungrateful dog and Leo a little wolf.
Daily, people threw rotten eggs and splashed red paint on their door.
But this was just the beginning.
In just a few days, I filed for divorce, sued for marital assets, and accused Samuel of embezzling company funds.
Samuel tried to go to the company, but his access card had already been deactivated. He was locked outside.
He used to see himself as an executive, above everyone else.
Now, not only had Flying Group fired him, but no other company would hire such a shameless person either.
He attempted to reach out to former colleagues to start a new venture, but they all blocked him.
He came to confront me, demanding:
“Did you tell them to mess with my business contacts?”
I just found it hilarious:
“Samuel, you’re nothing now. Who would want to associate with someone like you?”
Tignored his shouting and had security escort him out.
He yelled loudly:
“I’m the man of this house, the general manager of Flying! How dare you-” He shouted at the top of his lungs:
“I’m the head of this household, the general manager of Flying! How dare you lay a finger on me!”

But nobody listened. They tossed him out like an unwanted stray.
The divorce trial kicked off soon after, sparking fresh debates online.
His infidelity was so outrageous that it created a huge social backlash, leaving him with nothing after the divorce.
Unsatisfied, he caused a scene in court. The judge had the bailiffs hold him back.
E
The comments online came pouring in:
“This is so satisfying!”
“Karma for that jerk!”
“Serves him right!”
Then came the news of his illegal embezzlement of company funds, with enough solid proof to send Samuel to prison for a few years.
Just a few days later, he blocked my car on my usual way to work.
He looked completely worn out, with a scruffy beard and hair going gray. The confidence he once had was gone, replaced by desperation.
He half–bowed, finally admitting defeat.
“Quincy, I was wrong. I’ve sorted things out with Rachel
ar I won’t contact her again.”
“I’m Lily’s father, after all. Please forgive me for her sake.”
“Quincy, let’s remarry. Give Lily a complete family again. I’ll come back to Flying, even as a director. I don’t need to be the general manager.”
As I sat in my luxury car, I glanced coldly at Samuel through the partially opened window.
“Samuel, you think too highly of yourself. Where were you when Lily needed you at elementary school?”
“How dare you bring up Lily?!”
I signaled the driver to leave, leaving him behind.
Just like we had left him behind in our lives.
The next I heard about Samuel was that he was in prison.
Recovering the assets he had transferred to Rachel was easy for my legal team.
They informed me that even the house Rachel was living in had secretly been bought by Samuel.
Now Rachel was stuck renting a place in a rundown area.
Like Samuel, her reputation was shot, and no company would hire her.
She tried running a small stall, but people recognized her and destroyed it.
After that, she resorted to collecting garbage for a living.
As for the kids who bullied Lily, they were forced out of school after other parents complained.
I heard they weren’t welcomed at new elementary schools either.
It made sense; what parent would want their child around kids with violent behavior?
Leo, on the other hand, faced ridicule at his new elementary school for being the son of a mistress.
He snapped and got into a fight with a group of six–year–olds.
The outcome was predictable. He was outmatched and got beaten up badly, ending up bleeding.
At the hospital, he was diagnosed with a concussion and a broken leg.
No elementary school would accept him after that.
Rachel was both furious and devastated. She begged for help, but it was useless. She could only take him along to scavenge.
The next time Lsaw them was at a street market.
Both were dirty, hair unkempt, rummaging through trash cans.
Meanwhile, I was in my luxury car, ready to order my daughter’s favorite princess cake.
