Nathan’s POV:
In middle school, I met a girl who was like a little sun.
She would lend me her umbrella on rainy days, then run off laughing into the rain herself.
She’d take me to the nurse’s office when I was sick.
Sometimes she’d come watch my basketball games and bring me water.
I wondered if she liked me.
Why else would she be so nice to me?
One day, I overheard her talking to a friend.
The friend asked if she liked me, since they often saw us together.
She just laughed and said, “Don’t be silly, we’re just classmates. Wouldn’t you help out a
classmate in need?”
I couldn’t hear the rest of what they said.
I didn’t even realize when they left.
After the high school entrance exams, I didn’t want to have any regrets.
So I had a necklace pendant custom made with our initials engraved on it.
A guy giving a girl that kind of gift – she should understand what it means, right?
But we never contacted each other after that
Later I adopted Ethan, His eyes reminded me of hers.
I thought I’d just live my life like that.
But then we met again.

On our wedding day, I noticed she seemed really distracted. I thought she must hate m
So I rushed off to the office as soon as the ceremony was over.
Gradually, I realized she didn’t seem to dislike me after all.
I wanted to try again.
So I handed the company over to Nathan and spent more time with her and Ethan.
I thought things could slowly progress like this.
Who knew she’d suddenly talk about us getting divorced in the future.
I realized I couldn’t keep going on like this.
So I confessed everything.
And now, we’re finally truly together.
