The captain, already inclined to end his life, joined forces with Miranda to orchestrate the plane crash. Miranda had promised to provide for his family’s future, food, education, everything, until his child
grew up.
But she never expected that Ernest would deceive her. To her, Ernest had always been brash and arrogant, yet obedient to her in a way. She never imagined that he would lie to her about being on the plane.
After the plane took off, she finally

“Don’t you hate them?” Ivana asked quietly, watching as Winston calmly placed the bouquet in front of Ernest’s grave.
He gently ruffled her hair. “I don’t hate them anymore,” he replied. “Because from now on, I only want to spend all my love on you.”
