“Hmm. I will work hard to learn,” she said. At the apartment door, Ivana noticed that Winston was actually living diagonally across from her.
“If you don’t understand something, you can ask me.” Winston paused, then added, “Anytime.”
Ivana thanked him. The time difference made it hard for Ivana to sleep, so she
scrolled aimlessly through her social media
moments.
A message popped up on her phone: [Ivana, where did you go?] The sender was that Dominic.
She had forgotten to delete Ernest’s friends. from her contacts. Ivana started from
Dominic, deleting them one by one. Half of her contacts disappeared at once.

billowing smoke and soaring flames. It was reported that all the fire prevention systems had been shut off manually, but fortunately, there were no casualties.
Some netizens had even caught a video of Ernest carrying Sydney while rushing out. The comments exploded: [This is the kind of man you want to marry. Even in danger, he didn’t forget his girlfriend. Marry him already!]
Ivana scrolled past calmly. As she scrolled, she eventually fell asleep on her bed.
What she didn’t see was that, two hours later, a string of different phone calls began to flood her phone. The screen lit up the entire night and by morning, her phone, starting at fifty–four percent, had shut down automatically.
After Ivana went to France, Ernest found that everything suddenly quieted down. There was no longer so much to do. The image of running into Ivana that day at the dessert shop lingered in his mind.

He kept feeling like something wasn’t right the more he thought about it. When Ivana studied new desserts, she usually did so at the shop and very rarely at home. Even if she did bring work home, she would still return to her apartment at night.
Now he realized, even though he hadn’t gone home that night, Ivana also hadn’t shown up. Normally, if he didn’t respond within an hour, Ivana would either call or come to find him.
But recently, things had been so chaotic that Ernest suddenly realized how long he had ignored her. And Ivana had been too quiet, so quiet that it felt as if she had completely changed.
Sydney leaned against Ernest, showing him. a scrape on her hand from accidentally cutting chocolate. Ernest barely gave her a glance, mumbling a few dismissive
responses. He kept looking at his phone, unlocking and relocking it … over and over.

This had never happened before. It had always been him blocking her when he got angry and Ivana would coax him patiently until he forgave her.
Sydney, seeing the shift in Ernest’s mood, didn’t dare speak. Sneaking a glance at his phone, she, too, was shocked.
That ‘he’s yours‘ that Ivana had said earlier … turned out to be true. After the initial shock, Sydney couldn’t hide her excitement, now that Ivana was gone, Ernest would surely be hers!
“Ernest, did Ivana get upset? This is all my fault, it’s all because of me. I’ll go find her and apologize…” she pretended.
