Chapter 311 Celebrating New Year’s Together
Before long, the tips of Dominic’s hair were dusted white with snow. Bella opened her umbrella and stepped forward, trying to lift her arm high enough to shield him from the falling snow.
Despite her considerate gesture, she kept her words sharp. “What are you acting crazy for? If you’re feeling unwell, take your medicine. Don’t come looking for me to vent your frustrations.
He snatched the umbrella from her without hesitation and wrapped an arm around her shoulder. “I’m spending New Year’s alone too. Let’s celebrate together.”
She felt that their current relationship didn’t warrant such intimacy and calmness. Her first instinct was to resist, but he had clearly anticipated her reaction by gripping her tightly,
Forcing her into the car, he narrowed his eyes and warned, “Don’t be ungrateful.”
Bella was frustrated. He had already gone this far, so why was he still provoking her?
On the way, she couldn’t help but ask, “Where are you taking me?”
Dominic didn’t want to engage in lengthy conversations. “You’ll know when we get there.”
Eventually, the car stopped before Joville’s famous Fabled Tower. This building was renowned for its height. It was said that one could overlook everything from the top. It featured a rooftop garden and a restaurant worth mentioning.
Bella had heard about it but had never been here, primarily due to financial constraints.
After they exited the car, he handed the keys to the valet and turned to Bella. “Stay close. If you get lost, it’ll be embarrassing.”

Bella took a breath of the frigid air. “Don’t worry I won’t get lost.”
He ignored her and walked ahead. She could have turned around and left, but her curiosity about what he was up to compelled her to follow him nonchalantly.
Entering the grand lobby on the first floor, she was greeted by opulence. People came and went, yet it wasn’t chaotic; everything seemed orderly.
The attendant guided them to a private elevator and kindly pressed the button for the top floor. As the doors closed, she felt a twinge of doubt. Why were the other elevators crowded while theirs was so empty?
She kept her thoughts to herself, worried he would mock her for being naive. It wasn’t hard to guess; this elevator was likely reserved for wealthy VIPs. In Joville, having money could answer all questions, and Dominic’s face could easily gain him access anywhere.
As the elevator ascended swiftly, Bella felt uncomfortable. Her back was against the wall as she rubbed her temples.
Dominic subtly moved closer to her but made no other gestures.
Noticing his proximity, she stepped to the front of the elevator, creating distance between them. Two people with unresolved feelings couldn’t pretend to be at ease with one another.
His expression darkened as he watched her pull away from him. Was she really that ungrateful? Didn’t she realize he was there for her?
When the elevator doors opened, she quickly exited before scanning her surroundings like a headless chicken, unsure where to go. Nonetheless, she maintained a calm composure, pausing to wait for him.

Soon, Bella was out of breath and pushed his hand away. “I can walk by myself. What are you pulling me around like that for?”
Dominic remained silent, his expression growing even darker.
When they arrived at an upscale Tajanese restaurant, he walked straight to a private room. The room wasn’t completely enclosed; one side had a door that separated them from other diners, while the other led to a balcony.
Below them, the largest square was bustling with people, even in the falling snow, From this vantage point, everything looked magnificent, giving a unique perspective on the scene below.
