Chapter 279 Do You Still Like Me
After Bella was done canting and bad quietened down, Dominic gently whispered, “Go to bed. We’ll talk tomorrow.”
She mumbled, “I don’t want to wait till tomorrow. I want to settle this now. When I wake up tomorrow, you’ll be gone again. Where am I supposed to find you then? You have the time to be lovey–dovey with another woman but don’t even have the time to break up with me?”
He felt helpless at her words. He had been furious earlier and had waited for her to retum so that they could talk, but now, all he had done was watch her throw a fit. Strangely, his tage seemed to have subsided. “I won’t disappear. I promise that you’ll see me when you wake up.”
Bella didn’t believe him at all. She gripped his shirt and glared at him. “I don’t believe you! You’re the one who said we should deal with things promptly and not leave them be. So, why should we wait until tomorrow to discuss what happened today?”
Her alcohol–laced breath tickled his face, causing his throat to tighten. His eyes darkened as he wamed her, “Stop this nonsense. I’m taking you to bed.”
However, Bella reached up and grabbed his face, her intoxicated eyes fi
fixed on him, “No! I won’t listen to you this time. Why is it that I constantly have to listen to you? Didn’t you say that my word doesn’t matter when it comes to brealding up?
“Well, let me tell you that I’m breaking up with you today! I’m free, and I’ll no longer have to worry about you disliking me or having to live according to your moods. I’m done!
just as she finished speaking, Dominic inched in and ldssed her, attempting to silence her. But once he felt the tenderness of her lips, he couldn’t stop himself. She struggled in her arms “Let p go No… Don’t touch me!”
He carried her and pressed her down on the couch, kissing her again. Meanwhile, she kept babbling continuously, unlike her usual quiet and restrained personality Her naughty and wild side aroused something inside him.
Dominic still cared about his pride. There were many household staff in Miller Manor, and he didn’t want anybody to overhear them, so he whispered in her ear, You want to break up, right? Think of this as the final time. At least in this case, we can end on a positive note.”
Bella, dizzy and drunk, believed him. Maybe this was the only area where they could leave a good memory with each other.
She didn’t agree or refuse. The alcohol had made her groggy, and she was about to fall asleep.
Feeling a chill, she instinctively curled up, but she was quickly covered again. Bella found it uncomfortable and tried to kick him away, but be merely pulled her leg around his arm.
The night quickly turned chaotic.
She was dazed and on the verge of falling asleep, but he kept pulling her back
with a caspy voice, he asked, “Do you still love me?
Bella couldn’t understand what he was asking. She could hardly see the shadow sweeping over her. She was fatigued, and as she moved her hand to push him away. lir seized her wrists and pinned them next to her body. “Answer me!”
