Chapter 220 Giving In
Dominic glanced at the pink sheets on Bella’s bed and said while being completely unfazed, “Come sleep at my place. I can’t sleep alone when it’s raining Hurry up.”
Bella stared frozen under the covers, still rattled from the thunderstorm. Since when did he have trouble sleeping on rainy nights? She couldn’t remember that being a thing,
Perquale, impatient as always, scooped her up effortlessly. “I’m not spending the night on your pink bed.”
Bella was confused. Why did le care so much about her bed? Don’t most women like pink? If she went along with his taste and turned her room into a cave of dark tones, she doubted she would sleep peacefully.
In a daze, she let him carry her into his room, half–resisting but secretly glad to have company tonight.
They lay in silence after turning off the lights, neither of them asleep.
Despite the storm outside, Bella felt oddly at ease. She could smell his familiar clean and cool scent, Julling her into a dangerous sense of comfort She never imagined there would come a night when Dominic would willingly invite her into his bed with no hidden intentions.

Bells could feel his breath against her head and hear the steady rhythm of his strong and grounding heartbeat. His scent surrounded her, leaving no room to escape. She melted almost instantly.
The atmosphere shifted as it was thickened with an unspoken intimacy. When he lowered his head to kiss her, she didn’t pull away. She pretended it was just a dream, a fleeting moment she could indulge in without worrying about the consequences.

Though her refusal soured his mood, he didn’t press the matter.
The following days passed peacefully, and Bella felt ready to dive back into her job. Just the thought of returning to work energized her.
However, Amber’s unexpected arrival shattered the calin. Bella hadn’t anticipated seeing her at Miller Manor. To make things worse, Dominic wasn’t even home yet
