Ian obviously couldn’t stay any longer, so he left after bidding goodbye to Dominic.
Dominic shared the same thought and planned to leave. But when he returned to the hall, Bella was nowhere to be seen.
He panicked for a second and searched for her in the crowd while dialing her number. Thankfully, she picked up, and he instantly asked “Where are you?”
Bella whispered over the phone, “I’m in the toilet…”
Upon hearing her reply, he sighed with relief. “I’ll wait for you at the banquet hall entrance.”
Just as he was about to hang up, she quickly stopped him. “Wait… I can’t come out right now…
“Why?” A frown appeared on his face.
After a long pause, Bella awkwardly replied, “It’s difficult to explain. I’ll just text you on WhatsApp.”
With that, she hung up the phone. The whole interaction left him baffled. Two minutes later, he received a message from her requesting him to buy sanitary pads because she had abruptly started her period.
Dominic was stunned as he had never done anything like this before.
After buying the pads, he walked to the bathroom door and gave them to a staff member with a straight face, saying, “Could you please take these into someone called Bella.”

Feeling slightly embarrassed, he even handed the staff a tip but maintained his composure.
Shortly after the staff delivered the item, Bella came out. She walked out awkwardly and held the back of her skirt. Dominic understood immediately and removed his suit jacket, tying it
around her waist.
He noticed her pale complexion and the cold sweat on her forehead. He asked, “Are you in much pain?”
Bella felt humiliated. She had been eating earlier when she suddenly felt cramps. Sensing something was wrong, she rushed to the bathroom, only to find her skirt stained and the pain.

Dominic sighed softly and said, “This has been the most awkward day of my life. What’s a jacket compared to the dignity I’ve lost?”
Bella was taken aback by his words. “You went to buy the pads yourself?” She expected him to send someone else to do it, not for him to go personally.
He didn’t respond, but the awkwardness on his face was apparent. “Let’s go.
Once they were back in the car, Bella was slumped in the seat, pale and drenched in cold sweat. Her lips were colorless, and she looked frighteningly weak.
Dominic had no experience with this matter but didn’t drive off immediately. Instead, he asked with a frown, “Should we go to the hospital?”
Bella shook her head. “I’m a doctor, so there’s no need to go to the hospital. There are medications at home. I’ll just take them when we get home. By the way, how’s lan?”
For a moment, he was helpless. “You’re in so much pain and yet have energy to gossip? Women truly are odd.”
“I just want to distract myself from the pain. Otherwise, I can’t bear it…”
Upon hearing her words, he asked, “Does that work?”
Bella nodded repeatedly. This method often proved effective, and she usually used it to distract her patients.
After a moment of thought, Dominic suddenly leaned in and kissed her.
She froze, and her heart raced. He kissed her passionately as his tongue effortlessly split her lips. As their lips and tongues entwined, she felt a wave of desire and involuntarily threw her arins over his shoulders.
