The tension persisted momentarily before one of their relatives intervened and said, “Let it go, Steven. Ian has never gotten along with you since he was a child. Don’t let him ruin your happy occasion. Let him go about his business.”
However, Steven remained firm. “I’ll say it one last time. Tan, come over here.”
Dominic patted lan on the shoulder as if silently asking him to comply.
Finally, Ian moved. He took a glass of champagne from a nearby tray and approached the altar. His expression was cold and indifferent. Raising his glass to his soon–to–be stepmother, he stated, “I wish you both a long and happy life together.”
With that, he downed the champagne in one go.

Without a word, Ian tossed the empty glass onto the petal–strewn carpet and walked out without looking back.
When Bella saw him leave, she sighed with relief. Once the ceremony ended, everyone went to the dining hall to eat. However, Dominic was missing, and Bella assumed he had gone to find Ian, so she followed the crowd to dine.
Meanwhile, inside the lounge, Steven and Ian stood facing one another, Steven’s expression was rage–filled as he took off his suit and threw a strong blow at Ian’s face.

react as much as if he were used to such treatment. With a sarcastic smirk, he asked, “Are you done? If you are, I’ll be on my way.”
Steven snorted coldly. “You’re still as annoying as ever. I don’t care about your previous relationship with her. She’s your stepmother now, and you must be mindful of your actions.”
Ian pressed his tongue against his aching cheek and stated, “Don’t worry. From now on, I won’t have anything to do with either of you, so there’s nothing I need to be mindful about. Steven, you’ve disappointed me for over 20 years and have always found a way to cross every
line.
“After all these years, we’re finally done.”

Ian let go of his father’s hand, and his former carefree demeanor returned. “I’m fine. Let’s go,

Dominic took a glance at Steven. Despite his lack of regard for the old man, he gave a courteous nod before leaving with Ian.
Once they were in a quiet area, Ian said, “Dom, you shot dispatched assassins after you.”
