Chapter 167 Then Take If Off
Bella grinned mischievously. “How about I just cut it all off? It’s getting too long.”
Seeing Dominic’s expression darken, she laughed. “Can’t bear to? Then you’ll just have to accept this girly pink brush ruling over your hair Relax, it’ll be quick–unless you want it turning into a bird’s nest.”
Dominic grabbed her wrist. “Getting pretty bold, aren’t you? Seems like you’re the one getting a little too comfortable bossing people around.”
Even though he was weaker than usual, his grip was still strong, and Bella couldn’t pull free. Reluctantly, she backed down. “Alright, alright. No more brushing. Let go. You’re hurting me.”
But her mischievous streak returned as soon as he dozed off in the recliner. Not only did she brush his hair, but she even tied it into two little pigtails.
His hair was soft and smooth, and the pigtails fanned out at the ends like tiny trumpets, bouncing whenever she touched them.
Remembering all the photos he had secretly taken of her, she seized the opportunity. She pulled out her phone and snapped several close–ups of him, barely holding back her laughter.
Dominic had only been lightly napping, and her laughter woke him up. Seeing her with her phone, he grabbed it out of her hand.
The moment he saw the photos, his expression darkened. He yanked out the little pigtails with gritted teeth. “Bella, are you looking to get smacked?”
Bella quickly stepped back, putting some distance between them. “You’ve taken so many photos of me. What, I’m not allowed to take a few of you?”
The room fell silent as Bella realized she had just slipped up. He didn’t know she had seen those photos on his phone. She had exposed herself…
Dominic stared at her, his gaze so intense it made Bella squirm.
Her playful mood vanished, and she nervously picked at her nails. “Um.., I’ll go check on Pudding. He probably needs to be fed. You… go back to sleep.”
He tossed her phone back to her, and she instinctively caught it.
In a low voice, he asked, “You looked through my phone? When?”
Bella swallowed, then admitted, “Uh… that day… while you were sleeping…”
He kept pressing. “And how did you know my password?”
She rubbed her hands together, feeling trapped.I guessed.”

Dominic took a deep breath. “So, you think you’re pretty clever? Or that I’m clueless?”
Seeing the disbelief on his face, Bella had no choice but to list every one of the passwords she remembered from his phone.
She then added, “I really did just guess… Fine, change the passwords if you want. I only looked that one time, and I only went into the photo gallery. I swear I didn’t look at anything else!”
No matter how she tried to explain, she knew snooping through his phone was wrong, and she regretted it deeply.
She was momentarily possessed by curiosity, wondering why he had photos of her. She hadn’t expected to let it slip today… She really messed up.
Dominic didn’t say anything further, but his expression remained dark. Bella could tell he was upset, so she didn’t dare say more. She slipped back to her room.
She had no idea what he must think of her now. He was probably disgusted.
Their relationship had only recently started to improve, even if just on the surface. She didn’t want to risk making things worse so soon. But now, it was too late to take it back.
Later that evening, Dominic, likely fed up with not being able to shower properly since his injury, asked Bella to help him wash up. With his wounds, it was hard for him to manage on
his own.
Feeling like she owed him, Bella eagerly gathered everything she thought she’d need–towel, scrubbing gloves, the works–and went to help him.
Seeing her “fully equipped” like this, he gave her a look of exasperation. “I just haven’t gone without a shower since the day I got injured. You don’t need to prepare like you’re about to scrub down a soldier. It’s just a normal bath, okay?”
Bella sheepishly put the gloves down. “Oh! Right Well then… Go ahead and take off your clothes. I’m not going to help you with that…”
