Chapter 151 I’ll Take Responsibility
Lia was already itching for a confrontation with beonard. Bella felt pressured under Lia’s gaze, so she reluctantly called Leonard.
“Leonard, are you still… holding a grudge against Lia? Did you cause her two ex–boyfriends to break up with her?”
Leonard was oddly silent on the other end, and Bella felt it was weird. After a few moments of calling out his name, Leonard finally replied, “What did you say? I’m busy now. Let’s talk later.
Before Bella could respond, he hung up. Bella was frustrated by the lack of answers, and Lia couldn’t sit still anymore.
“I’m going to see him! I know where his office is!”
Lia was furious now. If she really confronted Leonard in this state, it would be awkward if it ended up being a misunderstanding. So, she forcefully held Lia back
“Leonard is busy now. Can’t we wait until he’s done before asking him? What if it’s all a misunderstanding? I don’t think Leonard would do that. He’s a big shot, so why would he nitpick with you?
“You’re focusing on the issue when you should be thinking about the bigger picture! You’re my friend, and I don’t think he would be that cruel.”
But Lia wouldn’t listen and insisted on going to see Leonard. With no other choice, Bella decided to go along with her to avoid any disaster. When they arrived at the Sawyer family’s company, Lia rushed in with red–rimmed eyes. Her carefully done makeup was starting to run
from her tears.
As soon as they entered the lobby, Bella froze. The three Sawyer brothers, along with their parents, were walking out. They were accompanied by two foreign guests.
If Lia caused a scene now, it would be a disaster!
Bella quickly grabbed Lia, but Lia’s focus was solely on Leonard. She shook Bella off and marched straight up to Leonard. She grabbed his tie and pulled him aside in front of everyone!
It wasn’t just Bella–everyone present was stunned.
Daniel was the first to recover. “Dr. Jones, what’s going on? Is this your friend?”
my best Bella felt so embarrassed she wished she could disappear into the ground. “S–She’s friend. There’s just a little misunderstanding between her and Leonard. It’s nothing serious, so maybe it’s best if we let them work it out.
“I’m sorry for the trouble and the horrible timing. You all should go ahead with your business.

Daniel trusted Bella, so he told his foreign guests, “Let’s not worry about the young people’s affairs. We should go ahead and eat. Let’s go.
As Bella watched the group leave, she broke out into a cold sweat.
How could Lia be so bold? They were in the Sawyer family’s territory! Things could have easily gotten out of hand!
Bella turned back to Lia and Leonard, only to find that they had vanished. She panicked and grabbed her hair before starting to search frantically for the two.
Meanwhile, Lia and Leonard were around the corner of the stairs.
Lia glared at Leonard and demanded, “Is it you?”
Leonard adjusted his crooked tie and asked flatly. “What are you talking about?”
Lia gritted her teeth. “Stop pretending! I’ve already apologized! What more do you want? If you have a problem with me, just tell me! Why are you interfering in my love life? Are you crazy? I’m not letting you off today if we don’t clear this up!”
Leonard took a deep breath and said in a low voice, “Yes, it’s me. But I don’t have time right now. We can talk later.”
After she heard him admitting it, Lia wasn’t about to let the matter slide. She grabbed his sleeve and refused to let go. “Your time matters but mine doesn’t? Since you’ve admitted it, you have to give me a proper explanation? Are you going to take responsibility if I can’t get married?”
Leonard suddenly gripped her shoulders, effortlessly pinning her against the wall. He leaned down, his dangerously intense gaze locked on hers.
“I’ll take responsibility.”
Lia felt scared and intimidated.
He was a madman!
