Perhaps Frederick was a good person. So, as soon as Pudding saw him, she wagged her tall and happily ran over, eagerly seeking his attention.

Frederick looked a little disappointed. “What a shame that you don’t have the ambition your father once had. The Sawyer family has more vision than you. They’re involved in this too.“!
Hearing that the Sawyer family was involved didn’t taze Dominic much. “Is that all you came to say? You didn’t come all this way to just ask me that, right?” Frederick paused for a while before he continued, “Since there’s no real reason for you and Amber to break up, I was hoping you’d reconsider. I think highly of you, and I’ve always admited your father. It’s a pity I never had the chance to befriend him before he passed,
“If you’re free, why don’t you come with me sometime? We could exchange some ideas. I’d like to lay my cards on the table. It might make future cooperation easier
Frederick’s words were smooth, and it was hard to outright refuse him without appearing ungrateful. Dominic understood the implication, but he didn’t want to commit an answer just yet.
“Let’s eat first,” Dominic said.
At the dining table, Frederick noticed Bella was absent. “Dominic, where’s y
s your sister? Why don’t you call her down to eat with us?”
Dominic frowned slightly, and he motioned for Sylvia to get Bella.
Though Bella found it off, she came downstairs. She disliked these kinds of gatherings, especially with Amber present.
The atmosphere at the table was nothing short of awloward. However, Frederick acted friendly toward Bella, “I didn’t know the Miller family had a daughter. Your name is Bella Miller, right? Why do the household staff call you Ms. Jones?”

Dominic was thinking of how to respond diplomatically when Amber helped him out, which surprised him. “No, Dad. Her surname is Jones, and the Miller family adopted her when she was a young orphan. She’s a doctor at Horizon Hospital, and she’s pretty skilled at what she does.” Frederick nodded. “I see. So, do you have a boyfriend, Bella? I’m sure an exceptional woman like you isn’t single.”
