It was raining heavily outside, and it was accompanied by loud thunder and lightning. It was almost as if the storm was determined to come out and do some damage tonight.
Bella would always plug in her earphones and listen to some music during such thunderstorms.
However, Lia suddenly sent her photo at around 10:00 pm. It was a photo of Dominic and Amber entering a hotel.
Lia had been in a rush taking that photo, so it was slightly blurry. However, Bella could immediately recognize Dominic.
He was someone who had haunted her dreams for countless years. Even if it was only a photo of his back, how could she possibly fail to recognize him?
That hotel was near Lia’s office, so Bella did not question the authenticity of that photo. She tried her best to calm her surging emotions and turned the volume of her music louder, forcing herself to go back to sleep.
The music couldn’t hide the loud thunderstorm, just like how pretending to sleep wouldn’t help disguise the disappointment she was feeling,
It was without doubt that Dominie had rushed out after receiving a call from Amber.
The bedroom door was suddenly pushed open, and Bella sat up Instinctively, only to see that it was Pudding by the door.
She did not expect Pudding to be so smart to the point that it could open doors itself. Pudding was standing upright with two front paws on the door handle. Hence, the door opened early
However, Fudding did not come in. It looked at Bella with a pair of dark eyes and seemed to be looking at her expectantly as it sat by the door.
Bella smiled in exasperation. “You can come in and sleep here. Are you also afraid of thunder?”
Pudding immediately can happily to the edge of her bed and lay on top of the rug. Then, it seemed to finally be at peace as it closed its eyes.
Weirdly enough, Bella also fell asleep soon after Pudding had entered her room.
However, halfway through the night, Bella had a nightmare. She felt like there was a rock with the weight of a mountain, crushing down on her chest and malang it hard for her to breathe.
