When the old classmates saw that I was no longer backing down, panic set in. They no longer dared to challenge me and quickly turned their focus to Logan.
“It’s all your fault, you loser!” one of them shouted.
“That’s right! He’s the real soft rice man, yet he slandered others and dragged us into this mess!”
“Claiming to be the future head of Besla Business Group–what a joke!”
“You‘ ve gotten us into all this trouble. just to please yourself! You‘ Il pay the full amount. This has nothing to do with us!”
“Exactly! You’ll be the one to cover the nine hundred and sixty million dollars, not

“When you thought I was the future CEO of Besla Business Group, you all licked my boots. Now that things are bad, you‘ ve all turned your backs on me!”
“You‘ ve all got the gall to complain now, but you were happy to be dogs back then. Don’t even think about running away today!”
The insults flew back and forth and tempers flared. If the police hadn’t stepped
in to stop the argument, it would have turned into a physical fight.
After the shouting match, the old classmates tried to defend themselves,

participating in the fight.
The police, however, produced surveillance footage from the scene and when they saw themselves on camera, the group fell
silent, stunned into disbelief. They had no choice but to accept their responsibility and offer compensation.
Some of them, desperate to avoid jail time, begged for money, scraping together what they could to settle the claims. Afterward, they left in defeat. Others received divorce. papers or were blackmailed by family and friends. Unable to borrow money, they were detained as the law demanded.

“Cold Smoke, please! After everything we’ve been through, I can’t pay this, not even if I sold myself!”

Lily hesitated, then turned to me, asking,
“Hubby, do we have to be so harsh? After all, we’ve been married for so many years. -can’t you give me some face and let this go?”
I looked at her coldly. “Give you face? Lily, do you think you still have any face with. me?”
“When I think about all these years of marriage and how you‘ ve kept me in the dark with your lies, I’m disgusted.”
“I’ve already signed the divorce papers. Starting today, we have nothing more to do with each other.”
Without another word, I walked away, leaving her behind.
Logan and the old classmates who couldn’t pay their share were all
prosecuted and sent to prison. Even my former high school homeroom teacher came under investigation for their involvement. As per the divorce

agreement, Lily was kicked out of the house.
I later heard that in prison, Logan had a violent run–in with his old classmates. He was beaten into lifelong disability and the ones responsible for the assault faced additional charges. The prison was filled with chaos and screams.
As for me, I moved on from a tumultuous marriage to a peaceful, uneventful life. It wasn‘ t what I was used to, but it was comfortable.
Then, three years later, I was out for a morning jog when I saw a man, his face contorted with rage, chasing a woman down the street with a belt. He shouted,
“You bitch! Let you cheat on your husband and steal from him! I’m going to kill you today!”
The woman, struggling to keep her footing, ran off in a panic, one of her shoes falling
off.

I looked closer–was that Lily? It seemed she had remarried, only to cheat again.
Yeah. Some things never change. Also her whose fate had thrown her back to this
path.
