After hearing my words, Eden grabbed my clothing in disbelief, and his mouth hung open.
“How much? Eighty million dollars?”
I smiled at him, mocking, “What? Are you regretting it? Too bad, the eighty million dollars has nothing to do with you. You should enjoy a long–lasting life with your Serena.”
But Eden suddenly dropped to his knees in front of me, clutching my pant leg and crying bitterly.
“Darling, it was that whore Serena who seduced me. When you weren’t home, she came to me, tempting me. Who could resist such temptation? I merely made the mistakes that all men make.”
I felt disgusted. Before I could respond, Serena grabbed his collar.
“Eden, when did I ever seduce you?
“You said your wife was old and plain, that just seeing her made you want to vomit. You said I was ten thousand times better than her, that after you divorced her, you would definitely marry me and treat me like a queen.”
After being exposed, Eden slapped Serena across the face.

“You are talking nonsense. You dared to seduce me but won’t admit it, huh? When did I ever say those things? Clearly, you made that up.”
This dramatic scene stunned everyone present, and Eden’s guilty expression said it all.

Serena covered her face and collapsed onto the ground, and her eyes were filled with rage. “Eden, I was so foolish. How could I believe you?”
One homeowner, unable to watch any longer, impatiently asked, “Who brought these two in? Why wasn’t it reported in the owners‘ group?”
The head of the property management team awkwardly stepped forward and slapped Eden across the face.
“You claimed to be experienced, which is why I let you try out the job. You actually dared to confront our homeowners. You don’t need to come back anymore.”
I lost interest in watching Eden and Serena’s internal conflict and had the security throw them both out.
As Eden was dragged away, he still tried to express his feelings to me, making me feel sick to the stomach.
I later learned about their aftermath in a legal program. Eden, having lost face to Serena and failing to reconcile with me, vented all his anger on her.

Serena, appearing calm while enduring the beatings, took a knife from kitchen one night while Eden slept and brutally killed him in bed.
Serena was sentenced to death for intentional homicide.
I turned off the television and made myself a plate of fruit
smoothie.
These people and things should remain in the past, while I welcomed my new life.
