Despite her simmering rage, she ulently struggled to free herself. One by one, she pried Callisto’s long fingers off her soft, flat stomach. Yer, Callisto was just as determined, refusing to yield to her effoms
Her teeth ground against each other as she balled her fists and pounded on Callin’s arms, occasionally pinching his skin in a desperate attempt to

To Lorraine, Callie’s voice sounded sleazy, sending waves of disgust coursing if
Realtring that his attempts at sweet talk were futile, Callisto tried a different tactic, planting light kisses on his wife’s cheeks in an attempt to soothe
But Lorraine had had enough. The rage within her reached its boiling point, ready to erupt like a volcano. Her vision darkened, and all she could see was the knife resting on the counter, Without thinking, she stretched out her hand, grabbed it, and raised it high in the air, aiming directly at Callico’s arm wrapped around her waist.

Callisto’s eyes widened in shock as he saw the kitchen knife possed in the air, and he instinctively released his grip on Lorraine to stop her hand. from coming down. They both clung tightly to the knife’s handle, neither willing to let go.
Lorraine’s gaze was as sharp as the blade itself as she glared up at Callisto, her eyes filled with a murderous intent,
“Y–You” Callisto stammered, disbelief evident in his voice

Finally, Lorraine released the knife and shoved Callisto away with all her might, causing shock, staring at her.
“Tsc” Lorraine scoffed, giving Callisto a cold, dismissive glance before turning her back on him and heading toward her twins. She found them making a mess at the table, so she quickly cleaned up after them. But in truth, she was far from composed. Her mind was still reeling from what had just happened with Callisto. Her body trembled, her nerves frayed from the encounter, and her breathing was shallow and uneven
She couldn’t shake the thought that if Callisto hadn’t stopped her earlier, she might have actually followed through with her attempt to stab him. The way he held her made her feel so violated, so disgusted. She hated it. She hated it so much that it made her feel filthy all over.
Just because they’d been intimate the night before didn’t mean he had the right to act so familiar with her now. If she could turn back time, she would have ended things long ago, sparing herself the torment of having Callisto hovering around her now,
-Kids, why don’t you take this snack and go to the living room to watch a movie?” she suggested calmly, hoping to stop them from making more of a mess at the table.
“Sounds good! I want to watch “Man of Steel Lucio exclaimed, jumping down from his chair and running off
“No, wait! Let’s watch Spider–Man instead?” Lucian scrambled to grab the snacks before chasing after Lucio.
“Whoever finds the remote first gets to choose!”
The playful antics of her twins softened Lorraine’s heart a bit. She tried to push the recent events out of her mind and hurriedly left the kitchen before Callisto could approach her again.
With the twins now engrossed in their movie, Lorraine felt safe enough to retreat to her room upstairs for a bath.
She couldn’t stand the lingering feel of Callisto’s touch any longer, and the thought of his hands on her made her skin crawl. She felt the need to take a long, hot bath, perhaps two hours, to cleanse herself.
She quickly ripped off her soiled clothes, turned on the faucet in the bathtub, added some scented oil, and slowly sank into the warm water.
She leaned back, trying to relax her tense muscles, and stared blankly at the tiled wall in front of her.

She couldn’t bear to have Callido around anymore. She was losing her patience, but she was holding on because she knew that Lucio needed Callisto. If the pushed him away completely, she feared that she would only regret it later, causing more harm than good.
no matter how much she tried to suppress her feelings, she couldn’t deny the disgust and anger that simmered beneath the surface. She couldn’t stomach the thought of facing Callisto, especially after everything they’d been through. They were divorced, after all.
Lorraine knew that she was the one who would suffer in the long run. She knew Callisto well, and she knew that Mona had been right all along. Once Callisto regained his memory, he would leave her and their twins without a second thought,
Given what had just happened Lorraine felt an urgent need to take action, to prevent Lucian and Lucio from forming any more attachments to
Calliato, or even to her.
Callisto might be sincere now, but only because he believed that Lorraine was still the woman he loved.
Lorraine placed her hand over her heart and took a deep breath “Lorraine, don’t let your guard down in a situation where you know you’ll lose. You need to harden your heart for the sake of Lucian and Lucio. Don’t fall into Callisto’s trap, or we’ll all be doomed.”
ter life was at stake, but even more so were the lives of her children, who had yet to recognize their father. They were t pain of fake love from their Eicher, only to face his cruelty later on.
