Lorraine explained everything to Callisto clearly, making sure he understood her intentions and plans for the future, especially why she wouldn’t leave with the children. However, once Callisto found out that he was the father of the two kids, he barely listened to anything else she had to say. All he seemed to hear was that they would be a family from now on, as he persistently tried to get close to the children who wanted nothing to do with him.

Upon hearing this, Callisto contacted people he knew to secure more of the rare blood type. Lorraine admitted she felt relieved, knowing how influential Callisto was. It made finding other blood donors easier, which she hadn’t been able to do on her own. But because of this, Callisto became even more reluctant to be separated from them

Callisto chuckled, finding him endearing. He closed the fridge and approached Lucio’s bed, leaning down to meet his eyes. “Do you feel better now after the blood transfusion?”
Lucio’s pale face and bored eyes met Callisto’s gaze like a wilting vegetable. “I was feeling better, not so much now that you’re still here.”
Callisto’s smile never faded “Well, I’m glad you’re feeling better. I’m going to make sure your treatment is successful soon, so you can play without feeling fatigued and getting bruises easily”
“Mister, don’t you have any shame?” Lucio asked, feeling insulted by the man’s overly familiar behavior after just learning he was his father.
